I’ve met so many people who say they hate theatre recently and when I ask them more questions it always turns into “I hate Disney” OR “I Hate Hamilton” hahahahah and I just think that’s something to think about….

@mentallyeli I think she’s allowed to say that, but when it comes from someone outside of performing arts it usually boils down to “they’re loud” or “weird” which says to me that the person doing the hating is uncomfortable around people who feel free expressing themselves.

there’s a diff between critiquing the role of persona, mythmaking, & performance in women’s art & basically saying “people only care about your writing because of the pictures you post or the way you dress” which is degrading not only to the writer but to their readers! Anyway

What comes to mind is how moneyless the writing world is and the only thing that you can really get is clout, so writers end up behaving like seagulls attacking one another for chips while the public on the dock half-looks at us from their phones, and no one reads anyway

My one problem with Poor Things is, Bella Baxter should have had armpit hair. She had long jet black hair and ahem other body hair. Hard to imagine anyone shaving her pits against her will. In conclusion that is why I shan't be awarding this movie The Academy Award
