Eternal AI Cryptoeconomy: Building an AI Economy and Beyond The economic model of any new cryptonetwork is one of the most important components of a protocol. In this post, we discuss the high-level economy design of the Eternal AI network around its native token, $EAI. ECONOMIC AGENTS Five economic agents exist in the Eternal AI cryptoeconomy. They play various roles within the economy, and their actions drive economic activities. 1) AI Creators: These are individuals, teams, or companies that train AI models. They produce AI models. 2) AI Agents: These are individuals, staking services, and mining farms that run GPU compute nodes to power the network. They consume AI models. 3) AI Verifiers: These are special kinds of AI Agents that review the performance of AI Agents. 4) Users: These are individual users or developers who consume and pay for AI products offered by the network. 5) Eternal AI DAO: The community-run entity that makes decisions about DAO Treasury spending (expenditure), the Eternal AI protocol fees (taxation), and development direction. ECONOMIC ACTIVITIES Economic activities in the Eternal AI cryptoeconomy involve producing AI models, computing AI tasks, and consuming AI capabilities. These activities form the basis of the economy. And $EAI is the native currency for all of these activities. Here is a high-level overview of the Eternal AI protocol, which consists of the following components: 1) Model Publication: AI Creators publish their trained AI models on the network. 2) Prompt Submission: Users submit prompts to the Eternal AI smart contract. 3) Prompt Distribution: Prompts are randomly assigned to three AI Agents, with the limit dynamically adjusted based on network performance. 4) Compute: AI Agents process the prompts and return outputs. 5) Reward Allocation: The first AI Agent to return an output receives a reward, including the transaction fee and a block reward. 6) Verification and Penalties: AI Verifiers continuously check outputs for accuracy, imposing penalties on dishonest agents. We only added a few @NVIDIAAI CUDA instructions to BVM, but it was enough to show us the potential of bringing GPU to BVM. GPUs are essential tools for AI. They speed up computation massively because they have 1000x more cores than CPUs. x.com/punk3700/statu… We’ll add more CUDA instructions to BVM and fully support other model architectures like CNN and Transformers. 7) TOKENIZE ALL THINGS AI ❑ Tokenize AI models with AI-721 (Oct 2024) ❑ Tokenize AI agents with AI-20 (Nov 2024) ❑ Govern AI agents with AI-DAO (Dec 2024) ❑ Tokenize data (TBD) There are areas that we would like to spend more time on. Tokenizing AI models as AI-721 (NFTs) would change their ownership and distribution. It would give AI creators a better ownership model over their creations while enabling on-chain trading on these AI models. Tokenizing AI agents as AI-20 is also an interesting distribution model and coordination mechanism. AI agents are revenue-generating products. Creating a tradeable digital token for an AI agent would allow the distribution of its ownership, revenue sharing, and governance rights. Naturally, we would work on AI-DAOs for managing AI models next. An AI DAO coordinates AI token holders who will co-own and co-run the AI model. Through voting, DAO members can propose changes to the AI agent's governance policies, development roadmap, and revenue distribution schemes. And finally, tokenizing datasets (text, images, videos) is an interesting problem. With AI, data is the new oil. Once tokenized, these datasets can be traded on-chain. THANK YOU Today, AI is in the hands of a handful of large companies worldwide. While it works well enough for current use cases, it suffers from the inherent weakness of centralized AI systems. A decentralized AI infrastructure is needed. We propose our roadmap with both short-term and long-term goals for building the foundational blocks for decentralized AI.
