HSR MAIN PUSH REVENUE PERFORMANCE COMPARISON As promised, I collected the necessary data to make a quick comparison between all of HSR’s main push banners. The comparison table includes six rankings/metrics: 1) JP iOS Day 1 2) CN iOS Day 1 3) CN iOS Cloud Day 1 4) AppMagic Day 1 5) AppMagic first 3 days ranking average 6) AppMagic first 7 days ranking average This should provide a decent overall picture of each banner’s performance compared to the others. Of course, I could have included additional variables, such as the three day averages for JP and CN, but I think the AppMagic averages are enough for this comparison. A few things I want to clarify: 1) The CN cloud version was introduced during Firefly’s banner, meaning that Acheron has no data for this metric. 2) As time went on, the CN cloud app began ranking increasingly higher. Because of this, comparisons between Firefly and Feixiao and more recent units should take the platform’s growth into account. 3) The older a banner is, the harder it becomes to find its exact CN cloud Day 1 ranking. If anyone has data that differs from mine, please let me know. Better data can only improve the analysis. 4) It is not particularly important for this specific comparison, but I will clarify it anyway: all Day 1 rankings, excluding AppMagic, were recorded at midnight JST, or 5 PM CEST for fellow Europeans. This is when the websites save their daily rankings. It is also why I continue recording rankings at this time for newer banners, as it makes comparisons with older banners more consistent. That said, let’s get into it. As we can see, HSR’s older main pushes appear to have performed better on average than the more recent ones, with Castorice being the last main push to achieve a seven day average better than 10th place. Acheron appears to be the strongest-performing banner of all time, with HSR ranking first globally on AppMagic for two consecutive days, something that even Firefly, a close second, did not manage to achieve. A seven day average ranking of 2.86 is also incredible. Among the 3.x main pushes, Castorice achieved better rankings than both Phainon and Cyrene. Phainon had a worse three day average than Cyrene, but their seven day averages were very similar. This may have been helped by players beginning to top up in anticipation of the Fate collaboration during the final days included in the calculation. The most recent main pushes, on the other hand, seem to have maintained a strong level on Day 1 while experiencing a noticeable decline in their three day and seven day averages. Silver Wolf and Himeko did not manage to reach the global top three on AppMagic during Day 1. And with this, we reach the hot topic... DID HIMEKO UNDERPERFORM? In my Himeko Day 1 post, I said that she appeared to have achieved a great Day 1 performance. Compared to the other units released during 4.x, or even several characters from 3.x, that was true. However, I failed to properly account for the fact that she was supposedly treated as a main push unit. With that in mind, I now feel fairly confident saying that yes, Himeko Nova underperformed compared to previous main pushes. Of course, she still generated an insane amount of money, but her performance fell short compared to her direct peers. I'll leave to HSR players to try to reach conclusions why she underperformed though, since I don't play it anymore, maybe it's a unit power issue or maybe it's just HSR slowing a bit the momentum it had. I hope you find the data interesting, and I’ll see you soon for the Fate collaboration Day 1 performance! The graphs will be posted below. #HSR

As promised, I checked the rankings again the following day and, as I suspected, yesterday’s AppMagic ranking seemed slightly too low. It’s not a huge difference and doesn’t significantly change the analysis, but the correct Day 1 AppMagic ranking is 23rd rather than 28th. This seems more in line with the image Asian rankings gave of the banner performance. I’ll update the file and the graph accordingly. See you all with Remielle day 1 and Iroi day 1.

Fate Collab Part 2 - HSR Day 1 Revenue Performance! The second part of the Fate collaboration went live yesterday, so let’s see how it performed. I’m not going to lie: this collaboration performed significantly worse than last year’s. A decline was to be expected since it no longer had the same “new” factor, but this is still a pretty substantial drop compared to the first collaboration and one of the lowest performing banners of this HSR year. As always, the rankings were recorded at midnight JST at the end of day 1. The JP and CN rankings refer to iOS, while the AppMagic ranking provides a broader global perspective. With a 3rd place ranking in Japan and 16th place in China, the Fate collaboration lands toward the lower end of this year’s HSR banner performances. The only banner that performed worse in both markets was Ashveil, who ranked 9th in Japan and 26th in China. The collaboration also ranked 28th globally on AppMagic, tying Ashveil’s day 1 ranking. Of course, this doesn’t mean that the two banners generated exactly the same revenue, but their global performances may have been in a similar ballpark. Since the Fate collaboration performed better than Ashveil in Asia but achieved the same AppMagic ranking, it may have performed worse on Western servers by comparison. Needless to say, I wasn’t expecting to compare the Fate collaboration to Ashveil of all units… This could potentially be another Norma situation in which AppMagic failed to update correctly. To rule that out, I’ll check the ranking again tomorrow. However, if these results are confirmed, it wouldn’t be a particularly good look compared to last year’s collaboration or to other HSR banners in general. For comparison, during last year’s collaboration: Saber and Archer held 1st place in Japan for three consecutive days, reached 8th place in China, and ranked 8th globally on AppMagic for two consecutive days. A very different performance. TOP 5 MARKETS: 1) Japan: 3rd 2) Hong Kong: 5th 3) Singapore: 8th 4) South Korea: 11th 5) China: 16th With that, I’ll leave the discussion to HSR players. Were the new units too weak? Were they simply less hyped than Saber and Archer? Or is HSR itself gradually losing momentum? I also want to clarify that these results still represent a large amount of revenue. As always, everything is relative, and I’m comparing this performance with previous HSR banners. I'll leave the graphs below #HSR

@AmbiguouslyJ123 @JohnHunt1821220 Also worth noting how there is much more than just mobile. None of these games are in any kind of trouble, not even on the same side of the globe of it. In the end it's usually normal for games to slow down over time.

Sure, I can put a disclaimer like I did with the cloud version on the main push comparison, next time. I rarely do comparisons between old vs new, so its not much relevant for my usual posts but I'll remember when I'll do the next comparison and recap. If you see I mainly compare with units that came out in the same .X cycle. In this case the collabs are fairly close (1 year) and the difference is huge so even if it was a bit altered, I doubt it would have changed much.

@GachaAnalytics @Fuuuuuuuuuuyuki I think that hoyo's push of the official top-up center (I've seen two JP VAs use it for their stream recently) with the cost difference with iOS, adds nuance that's worth mentioning to the comparison of numbers as the standard candle may have shrunk in size.

Game.i only tracks iOS and even then its just an estimation so yes top ups centers are not included. Its why you never see me saying absolute numbers or making assumptions about the total revenue of a number. Its just impossible. What I do is simply comparing different banners in the same game. Since I don't have reaosnt to assume the % of playerbase topping up on top uo centers compared to iOS changed in a small timeframe, I use the performance on mobile to compare different banners. Take it as using a standard candle if you mnow what I mean🤔. Ofc the actual revenue is much higher than any number thrown from AppMagic, Sensortower, game.i etc, considering top up centers and non mobile platforms.

@ErPlatonic Also Suisui releases on the 31st, although the last day of the month revenue is always a bit weird since it's usually just split between the current and the next mont

Tough question LADS is tanking rn so it's kinda out of the question. Genshin and HSR I think have the 1st and 2nd position locked in, for ZZZ I truly don't know. Wuwa right now should be 3rd in theory and Xianling didn't perform badly but VHs usually are an insane exploit for ZZZ. I guess it's possible but I wouldnt be surprised to see Wuwa 3rd anyway tbh

I see so maybe for the fate banner the strength of the units influenced a bit the performance. For 2026 global revenue actually genshin improved a bit, especially in cn, and wuwa overall its kinda the same (should be a bit more), hsr seems to be a bit in a decline though compared to 3.x and especially 2.x. Zzz is kinda a special case since its kinda vh or nothing in that game but overall its a bit down too since 2.2 or so. For newer games its always tricky since I dont know the real playerbase distribution. What I can do is to compare new banners to past ones. But yeah probably the global economic situation right now isn't helping.

@GachaAnalytics Gilgamesh Is too weak And rin too niche Himeko Nova Is very strong with great eidolons For losing momentum maybe but the game Is equal from 3 years(poor events and same pulls) but in 2026 the global revenue of gacha on mobile was worse than last year (Is It considerabile?)

I ain't gonna lie, I never liked the idea of pull counts vefore the patch drops in general, creates a lot of doompost or tribalism unfortunately, both in zzz and other gachas. People can't understand that are estimations and STC stuff using beta leaks. If this place was a more civil one, this wouldn't happen🥀 but it isn't so I think stopping with them is for the best. I am sad that your post got misused and that you had to resort to this though, you do a lot for the zzz community and being attacked/misrepresented because of a pull count must feel horrible.

Btw, this isn't the first time I've seen my count misused, and since the community is becoming more and more polarized and toxic, i've decided to stop doing counts for Zenless Zone Zero (this time fr) I'll keep posting my leaks as usual whenever I have time

@GachaAnalytics good post as usual. ty for the work! Similar as to how first banners tend to perform better first few days due to external sources (skins, battlepass, monthly, misc) It's probably worth noting that Acheron, Castorice and SW999 respectively have yearly topup reset on their patch

Thank you but don't worry, I played HSR. I started late 2.x and then quit late 3.x because the game wasn't enjoyable anymore for me. I just didn't really had in mind that Himeko was in the main push slot for this year, probably because I kinda followed HSR stuff much less after SW lvl 999.

As I say in this comment I'll make a post comparing past "main push" units in HSR to Himeko Nova to see how she performed. When I made the day 1 post for her, I compared her to the others 4.x units but I feel like I didn't treat her as a "main push" and instead like a normal 1st phase unit. (Probably because I didn't see much noise around it like I usually did when HSR dropped other main pushes) Which is why I'll make a post comparing her to the past "main pushes" units soon. I think a better look to her performance, both jp, cn and globally, is needed. Also using 7 days average. This doesn't change what I wrote on the day 1 post, everything is still true, I just want to compare her to units "in the same league" as her.
Gacha_Analytics@GachaAnalytics

From a "main push" pov, if you compare it to phainon, castorice, silverwolf, elysia etc then its underwhelming, especially in CN, I'm collecting more data on global. When the collab drops or right before I'll make a post comparing her to the past main pushes, tbh I didn't think Himeko had the same importance phainon, elysia etc when I made this post since I didn't see that much noise about her like I did for all the previous past hsr main pushes. Compared to other 4.x units she is performing better but not reaching top 3 on midnight for a day 1 main push unit in HSR is strange tbh. I'll make sure to collect enough data to make an actual comparison.
