On the sidelines of the second Africa-CARICOM Summit i had the opportunity to meet with President @jlprdeangola of the Republic of Angola and Chair of the African Union for a bilateral discussion on our shared interest as well as regional matters. Our mutual commitment to continental progress remains firm.

Ahead of the 17th BRICS Summit in Rio de Janeiro, I had the pleasure of meeting with President @LulaOficial to discuss bilateral and multilateral issues. Our meeting today marks another step forward in strengthening the relationship between our two nations, which has grown significantly in recent years. We agreed to further enhance trade and investment ties across various sectors.

This morning, I received Dr. Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete, Former President of the United Republic of Tanzania and Special Envoy of H.E. Dr. @SuluhuSamia , President of the United Republic of Tanzania, who delivered a special message on her behalf.

It’s my first time in Addis Ababa, despite transiting through Bole Airport many times. I am so impressed with the capital city of Ethiopia. 🇪🇹 It is now the 5th largest economy in Africa. They just overtook Morocco and have Nigeria in sight. Good leadership matters.

Delegation led by H.E DPM Temesgen Tiruneh had productive discussions with H.E. Minister of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan, Colonel-General Eyvazov Vilayat Suleyman oglu, on enhancing bilateral and multilateral cooperation on security matters. They explored opportunities for closer collaboration through information sharing and capacity building initiatives. Exciting potential joint projects were also discussed, aiming to benefit both countries.
