Mica Paris and David Gilmour's 'I Put a Spell On You' performance is one of the most extraordinary ones.
Gilmour plays his notes in the keys of blues and blue notes, it sounds amazingly beautiful. He makes you love and fall in love with the blues again.
Those years were different ones for David Gilmour as he mostly used different types of stratocasters and didn't grab his black strat that much in his hands.
This is a must-see collaboration for those who love the blue notes and I am glad that I am the one who just posted this.

I have asked the Home Office how many of Musk's posts have been investigated, for what reason, by how many officers and at what cost to the taxpayer?
They will spy on Musk's online activity, but no inquiry into thousands of foreign rapists.
Pathetic.

Last week the former Chief Minister described the current government as a ‘Coalition of Convenience’.
It made me smile and reflect on how far our politics has moved on since that dark December last year.

@ChooseRowland @SamMezecJsy Is anyone proposing 'just' put up taxes?
English

@SamMezecJsy So the question for the electorate at the 2026 election is now clear. Improved productivity, efficiencies, and effective government spending, or just put up taxes. The problem though, is who will deliver the former?
English

Let’s be clear - raising tax in Jersey is inevitable. It will happen.
The question is - do we do it dishonestly by stealth and fail to target it properly at those who can most afford it, or do we admit our tax and spend model is broken and let the public choose the way forward?

Yes, her name is Nguyen Nguyen. My grade 6 classmate that sat in front of me. She never spoke to anyone. Not even the teacher. I mean, EVER. But she was brilliant & never needed help with anything. We would walk to school together, & even then—not a single word. Then one day…

@keenjersey @mailolstar @DominicCJones @AlexPicot My first was 1988 and cost 90k. Former first time buyers home but I paid full market value with 12% interest. Bank lent 6 x income. Interest went to 16%. Was hard to imagine it getting any worse at the time.
English

@GaelMezec @mailolstar @DominicCJones @AlexPicot My luck continued we purchased our first home in 1983 for £42,500 our income about £14,000, so 3 times multiple. That property now over £500k, income multiple at least double. Quite a few school friends got jobs in public sector & have benefited from a final salary pension scheme

This just published TED talk “Do we love our children?” is 17 mins of compelling listening.
Starts with the macro economy economic impact on young people but then goes through education and tech.
You could substitute Jersey for USA.
Thought provoking.
