Story time: So a year ago or two i started noticing this guy @OldHollowTree posting about his fireplace and way of life out in nature much like my family on 12 acres of north idaho woodlands. I wont lie, i probably spam* him because I’m a little eccentric and enjoy talking to people i see even a penny of connection too. But whats awesome is ive watched him grow from what my current follower count is to what he has now, building happiness, a home business from a fun hobby and growth of a family that will leave a positive legacy. Today i got my candles and i so miss the smell of beeswax… i loved our bees as a kid and teen, and hope to find time soon to start this with my kids too(#5 comes in august) Their simple care in packaging, in reusable resources like wood wool; which i will save for next winter in our wood stove/furnace i “bonded” over from his posts initially 🤣…. To the simple hand written “thank you”, their fun stickers, and hand poured fun, memories, love and care into a delicious warmth to add to your home. Its awesome to see good people succeed and “build happiness” The best advice i got a couple years ago in my own journey was “invest in your wife and watch her bloom into something more beautiful than you realized you married”…. This applies to our children too! And OHT is doing just that. Congratulations on your journey! And may you and your family continue to grow and build happiness. 🙏💙🖖 Ps…. Am I wrong to think that a teacher's entirely private life - in which they do nothing illegal or violent - is off limits when it comes to assessing their job performance? This guy did nothing in front of or near kids. I don't see why his stage performance is relevant.

SUPER TYPHOON #SINLAKU is about to deliver a catastrophic direct strike to Saipan tonight. The Mariana Islands are no strangers to Category 4 & 5 caliber typhoons. Saipan was devastated by Super Typhoon Yutu — a Category 5 — back in 2018. FEMA rebuilt the island’s infrastructure much stronger to withstand the next storm. That will be put to the ultimate test tonight, when Sinlaku’s core of destructive winds arrive — with gusts over 175 MPH likely. Keep Saipan in your prayers, as 47,000 Americans are in the path of Sinlaku. If you’re in Saipan and reading this — take shelter in the strongest concrete bunker you can find. God bless.

It was a multiple-MSM hit piece kind of day today. But also a day when I rose early, walked and talked and listened, kicked ass, took names, and had dinner with a friend after watering some seedlings. As to the vicious personal attacks — frankly, my dear — I don’t give a damn!

Getting scolded and shamed for daring to criticize or question clergy and clerical behavior is one of things that led to 40 years of secret sexual abuse. It is *okay* to be a devout Catholic and critique the institution and the people who run it. It doesn't make you a bad Catholic. Being Catholic doesn't mean you must relinquish your brain or your tongue. Francis shut down TLM parishes and told a journalist he "hates conservative American Catholics" - an actual quote. We are free to say what we like and remain in good standing, barring blasphemy or calumny.

I know it’s a long shot but if you know anyone who loves to hunt with big time money who wants to buy this national treasure of a wildlife taxidermy collection -intact- before another piece of our heritage is scattered to the winds at auction let them know about the Safari Club collection out of Thermopolis, Wyoming. They could donate it to their alma mater’s wildlife or vetmed program, they could write it all off, get it named after themselves, have generations of students grateful to them studying their collection, be a local hero wherever you donate the collection to. It’s a damn shame this is getting auctioned off, like auctioning off the Egyptian collection at the Met. Anyone know any Boone and Crockett fellas with deep pockets? The Buccees guy? This could be great at TAMU’s wildlife dept!

@CozyFrog That is what I feared. Bison fur is exceptional and the hides useful. I need to talk to a mutual in Texas who uses the fur to make garments and the hides too.

@CozyFrog One thing I keep thinking about is where do all the hides from the game and cattle go? Are we processing here or shipping somewhere else, or God forbid, throwing them away? I must research this matter.

I probably need to sign off for the day. I am disgusted beyond belief at the people who suddenly are acting pious for political reasons when they have forever vocally supported: 1. Murdering unborn children by the bushel. 2. Nuns being persecuted for adhering to the doctrines of the Catholic Church. 3. The mutilation of confused children to satisfy their parents’ Munchausen Syndrome. 4. The beatification of Barack Obama, Anthony Fauci and Robert Mueller as holy figures throughout the media. 5. Harsh criticism of any Trump Administration official who favorably mentions God or Jesus. 6. The ending of religious assembly during COVID. 7. A generalized disdain for orthodox Christian and Catholic persons and beliefs. 8. Hatred for the most orthodox, intellectual and Catholic of recent Popes, Pope Benedict. 9. Embrace of all manner of perversions enumerated specifically in the Bible as sins. 10. Silence on the murder of 30,000+ Persians by the Iranian mullahs and the violent murder and persecution of Christians in large swathes of the Muslim world. Pope Leo is using the Gospel as an excuse to meddle in purely political affairs, and politicians throughout America who hate the Gospel are using feigned faith as a political cudgel. It is disgusting beyond belief. OUT.

It’s chilly and grey today but we heard the peepers the other night so I’m test burning a new candle in their honor. I hope to be adding these fine fellows to our website soon. In the meantime, we have plenty of candles still available at Humming Meadow dot com.

@agave_redux Have a bunch of native trees here, the nuts make great piggy food. They love them. We use a lot of pecans here, but we buy the good ones from @Cindy_TLC_Ranch
