Can’t believe the teacher pulled me in to have a discussion because apparently my son was singing an offensive song. When I asked what he was singing she said baa baa black sheep. I said are you actually serious? Her response was yes we cannot sing that here. My response was you hypocrite because you damn well sang it when you were a child so back up and get back in your lane and don’t call me in over something so pathetic

My neighbor’s been parking in my driveway for months. I’ve asked him not to so many times but he always hits me with “it’ll just be a second” and shrugs it off. Came home last Friday and yep… his car was there again. Only problem was, I was leaving town for the weekend. So I parked right behind him, locked up, grabbed my bags and left. A few hours later my phone was blowing up with missed calls and texts saying “dude wtf??” Didn’t answer a single one. Hope he enjoyed the weekend thinking about boundaries.

My in-laws were always first in to see our babies at the hospital, and I welcomed that. My own parents never even came. That’s cuz as soon as I was in labor they were at our house making it spic and span for baby’s homecoming. My dad watched the other kids and did yard work while my mom cleaned and grocery shopped and fixed my husband's favorite foods. She would get my bed all freshly ready with a vase of flowers next to it and clean jammies laid out and a tea tray ready to go. They were there to welcome the baby home and then my mom would stay for a week making sure I wanted for absolutely nothing. Their absence at the hospital was always the best present.
