I’ve read maybe half a dozen Crimson Desert reviews, and I think they basically boil down to this. If you’re cool with MMO‑style busywork, fetch quests, and a story that fades out after the intro—but you want a giant single‑player world to get lost in—Crimson Desert will probably be your jam. If you’ve never touched an MMO, though, you might be in for a bit of disappointment, or at the very least, confusion. You’re going to be wondering why the UI feels off, why the UX force you to think like you're drunk, why the inventory is hot ass, and why some of the quests and dialogue feel like they were written on someone’s lunch break, on the shitter. None of this is a mystery though; it’s just their Black Desert MMO DNA leaking everywhere. I'm still debating picking this up, not because I won't like it, but because it's so damn big and will probably overwhelm me and the limited gaming time I have these days.
