@ImCollegeSoccer Hmm, not too sure about this one. Saying they’ll see/watch them at playoffs in a couple of weeks might be more realistic. From my experience, people who get messages on the 15th usually hear from coaches with at least some level of interest.

🚨We did a bunch of research on data from over 700 players we tracked last year that found new D1 homes by entering the #TransferPortal and here are some general findings to level set expectations. - Power 4 players that played over 600 mins the previous year typically found new Power 4 homes. - Power 4 players that played under 200 mins typically found new homes in mid majors unless they were very highly recruited. -Mid Major Players who were all-conference difference makers or goal scorers moved up to Power 4 - Players on higher ranked Mid Majors that played over 600 mins the previous year typically found new higher ranked Mid Major. - Players on higher ranked Mid Majors that played under 200 mins the previous year typically found a lower ranked mid major. - Players on lower ranked Mid Majors played over 600 mins the previous year typically found new lower ranked mid-major - Players on lower ranked Mid Majors that played under 200 mins the previous year typically moved to D2 or D3 or quit soccer. Important to be realistic about your options especially given the record number of players that will be in the portal combined with less opportunity in previous years due to roster limits. We believe you give yourself a WAY better chance of a successful outcome by going public so you can share information and highlight videos as every little bit of extra exposure will help and could be the difference. As with everything there are always exceptions to the above.

DM: I’m noticing so much talent out there listed in the transfer portal and it got me thinking. If those kids were let go, my committed kids going to the same or similar schools don’t stand a chance and will also be in the portal a year from now their freshman year. -Club Coach #CSTruth And the incoming freshman are too blind to see it, and so their commitment/effort to improve declines after they commit because they think they will be just fine since their club career is “amazing”. It doesn’t hit them until they sit the bench in college for the first time ever or get told to leave. You get humbled in college real quick!
