Make no mistake, Lebron winning a playoff series, and being the best player, at 41 is an amazing feat. I think he is on PEDs, but, I digress. It's still something no one has ever done. What I don't get is how this moves the needle in the Goat debate. Being the best 41 yr player doesn't make you the best player ever. In terms of impact, there are at least 5 players in nba history more impactful than prime Lebron was, and I think I can prove it. But Kudos to Lebron.

Not a single person has ever said it’s better to not make the playoffs than to lose in the finals. What they have implied is if your team makes the finals you have a great team compared to your conference competition and with 4 games left to win, don’t you dare cry “the other team was better!” At least if you miss the playoffs or lose early it’s a clear sign you don’t have the team to compete If you make the finals you have the fucking team to compete.
