as many times as assassins creed fucked up, this franchise doesn’t have a single “bad” game, its worst game, odyssey, is mid.
they’re all fun experiences and this franchise deserves all the sales it gets, black flag Resynced is a HUGE improvement, here’s hoping for better from now on…

Nah but fr, this was probably the first “bad” game Ubisoft made before the company name became synonymous with the word “mediocre”.

Dear Ubisoft,
Black Flag Resynced is a fantastic game, but please can we move away from this. You have the resources, developers, tools, time, literally everything at your disposal. Just move on from this. It's been like this for 9 years straight. It was funny the first time in Odyssey. But it's in every single game. Have some AAA standards. Imagine the new story content in Resynced was mocapped instead of every cutscene looking like this. How can people be invested in these characters when they recycle the same 4/5 gestures on a loop?
Just compare this to any main story cutscene in pretty much every AC game before 2018. Those characters had personality because their performances were literally acted by real people. It's hard to stay invested when every conversation is this soulless.

Compared to other recent AC games I've tried, I can just focus on the main story if I want in Black Flag Resynced. Lots to do and see if I want it, but I can also just ignore most of it. And I'm pretty invested already after ~3 hours. No XP grinding and no level gated content.

To our PC players: We are aware of an issue where cutscenes are locked to 30FPS on PC when using Raytracing, BVH or Terrain Quality at Ultra High setting.
We have a fix coming very soon, but in the meantime you can use the following workaround:
Reset graphics Overall Preset to any pre-configured setting and avoid manually setting the 3 options mentioned above to Ultra High.
