@norgmang @GameswithDeath Then there will be a correction. Complete reliance on this would hasten it like any other overuse of an efficiency tool. Still if it fits with the existing art direction let it be. It's just over-hyped and the public is overreacting.

@GamesAndToast @GameswithDeath What worries me is that modern games are being designed in inefficient, corner-cutting ways, assuming performance gains from DLSS and other framegen tech as a mandatory. Who's to say in a couple years that lighting and art direction won't follow suit? Leave it to AI?

I really don't get the outrage here. How is this "AI-Slop"? There is nothing AI-generated here, but shadowing, occlusion, and diffusion. Do people seriously think these are AI-generated videos/images like Sora?

@norgmang @GameswithDeath I actually think it's fine. It's a tool that's not one size fits all games. It doesn't displace the artist and doesn't lie about what it is. If you're worried about original artistic intent then any mod ever immediately breaks that stance. just turn it off if it looks bad.

@GameswithDeath The tech is taking far too much creative freedom on the faces especially but frankly every aspect of the art direction. There's too many corners being cut here to be rightly called anything but a "slop filter," as it presents the same kind of sickly pseudo photoreal sheen.

@GameswithDeath @Kotaku It could be argued that this paints over the creators intent, however for games whose artistic direction is aiming at realism this ends up being additive and not a replacement of original intent. So I personally like it on a case by case basis. It's not fully generative IMO

I usualy do a pretty damn good job on not being affected what strangers on the internet say, but lately i find it hard to deal with. I just cant understand how do you get out of bed sit at pc and go be a needless asshole to someone you dont know. Kindness isnt that hard. :(

Less than 6 months ago decided to try out Old School Runescape. Been a ton fun and still have many goals that I would love to achieve. However I have decided to take a break for now and return to streaming WoW. Massive thanks for those who have watched the journey so far!

In the past week roughly 60 botted accounts with 200m agility got unbanned, seemingly all in the same day. Ranks 198-258. All of these accounts have very similar stats. This is a massive flaw in the system and should be looked into.. @JagexPheasant @JagexTwisted @JagexAyiza

The meltdown about the Sailing xp rates is kind of funny. I agree that especially early on it could use some tweaking and maybe even scaling the rates like hunter. Yet, y’all crying now would also cry if it was over-tuned; so could Jagex of won?

An update for those not in my Discord; I was detained at the border and denied entry due to a violation of my ESTA terms and conditions and was sent home today after 27 hours in detention. I am not banned from the county and will be applying for a visa asap to hopefully fly back before the end of the year. This was a scary experience but ultimately my own fault and I'm grateful that it is essentially a slap on the wrist from border control. Streams will probably return while I work on arranging the visa as I might need help for a new flight, depending on circumstances. Hopefully I can manage it all myself. Charlie and I are both upset but ultimately happy that there is a way back and mainly that I'm okay. 💕

When are you going to do without a weeklong (or longer) vacation at least once each year to some exotic locale? When are you gonna sell your brand-new car, buy a beater, and drive it until the wheels fall off instead of trading in every 3-5 years? When are you gonna stop going clubbing every weekend?
