Join stream of someone I was previously raided into from another streamer & followed, try to engage with streamer/chat 5 times, chiming in about anime, asking about the game. Streamer reads messages above & below mine with every message I put. I was kinda confused. I left as I felt very unwelcome there & unfollowed but I'm very curious about the why behind this. Any ideas? And no I'm not upset or mad about it just kinda stunned & confused as to WHY. And not a new streamer 1k followers had 10 in chat when I joined. Maybe they just don't care to engage with new people 🤷🏼‍♀️ they didn't mind my messages when I came with the big raid previously 😂 streamer friends, any thoughts? As this experience might make me a better streamer in the future.

@KempasUK @Dexerto Its like saying all the other athletes are on steroids, so you have to to complete etc, it's fucked up to be view botting, and so plainly obvious, I seen it so much, even a mate I respected is doing it , and it's sad coz he's a good streamer.

@Dexerto Honestly, this view can get in the bin. Creators are disadvantaged BY viewbotting. Discovery isn't good on, say, Twitch but there are other ways to be found. Pumping yourself with a fake following hurts you, other creators and real viewers who are being duped. It's poisonous.

Streamer manager Reed Duchscher voiced support for viewbotting saying creators are at a disadvantage without it "The reality is, if you're not viewbotting and everyone else is, you're at a disadvantage"

The Temple last night was the least fun I've had on stream in years, possibly ever. It's a big maze, and the devious map creator has changed the route which I had learned before on the last patches very well. Because I haven't meta'd how to do the maze and wanted to try and work it out, a fairly vocal amount of the chat were effectively pointing and laughing because I didn't know my way through a complex maze that had changed entirely. Others were desperate to tell me meta about secret passages or temple sickness and what it's effects were and of course the majority were trying to watch and getting annoyed by the dicks in chat ruining it. Thank you to those viewers! <3 It sucks, DayZ is my favourite game. Deerisle is a stunning map but not being able to explore it because people in the chat have seen someone else do the same area 20 times and they know the route that I don't fucking sucks. I haven't done this in a big group, or watched other streamers to know the route, I'm trying to do it solo and learn it myself. Even some long term viewers were belittling me for being lost in a maze ffs. It was infuriating. Every time I looked at my chat, it felt like either someone was belittling me for not knowing something I couldn't possibly know in advance, or telling me a spoiler. Yes I know, it's just a game, first world streamer problems!! I'd really love to actually enjoy new experiences in the game I love, it's rare. If this happens again we will be much stricter on meta and anyone that does it at all can just fook right off for good. I was glad when I died in the temple tbh. The whole thing was awful. Can't wait to go and do it again later! Sorry for the rant.
