G&L Bridge

Fantastic fun for our @GandLBridge students on Saturday learning to make ice cream in their Physics session – and eating quite a bit too! They were also introduced to the world of Cryptography and code-cracking by our brilliant Sixth Form Bridge Ambassadors.

The Bridge children loved the Chemistry lesson today! They did a flame test to identify different different types of metals - this one was clearly sodium!

This years Bridge cohort have started brilliantly well! We've already passed on three books for them to read: Kensuke's Kingdom, The Giver and The London Eye Mystery. Thanks to @bookcase_london for supplying us with the books.

We had a fantastic time with Step Up To Sports @GandLSport last term. We took part in a pilot scheme using the outdoor sports facilities at @GandLSchool. Mr Joseph took the keen participants to be taught by students from Years 10-13. This proved a massive success!

What a super sporting start to the new year our netballers had yesterday at the @LBHF #netball Tournament organised by @GandLSchool. Our B team went out in the semis to the eventual winners... our A team - strength in depth. Huge thanks to everyone for creating memories for life.

They have also collectively spent a total of 2255 hours, or 94 days, on @AtomLearning - extraordinary commitment! 🙌

Just two Saturday sessions left with this marvellous cohort!

The Bridge children tried their hand at the Ukulele and the djembe drum last Saturday, taught by Mr Sach-Keen and two UVI Music students.

Huge thanks to @Keystone_Tutors for providing 6 outstanding tutors to teach the children in small groups, and to the amazing @GandLSchool 6th form Bridge Support Team

Godolphin and Latymer School welcomed around 70 students from 40 local primaries for a week's worth of lessons at the end of the summer holiday; they each received 15hrs of English, Maths & Communication lessons. It's a pleasure to see these superb students continue to thrive.

The Y6 children who took part in the @LatymerUpper Attain Programme which began during lockdown, today received their certificates. "It was great; our tutor Cameron made it so much fun, I really looked forward to every session!" #Learning
