You don't need to be some kind of genetic freak to bench 2 plates. If you have been training for 2 or more years, and have a fully able body, a 225 bench is a pretty reasonable standard.  Do you agree or disagree with this take? Put your opinion in the comments.

Old school does NOT mean outdated! There is so much to learn from the long history of exercise science and the researchers who pioneered the methods we use today. Take Dr. Verkhoshansky as a prime example. To experiment with a movement like this... he was way ahead of his time!

All wrestlers but especially females need to be getting lifting sessions in 3-4 times per week year round. The women who just get a little bit of strength work in consistently compared to an opponent who does none is going to win almost every single time.

Most people think that your vertical jump numbers boil down mostly to genetics and you can lift to jump higher but if you have bad genetics you’re just cooked. They don’t know how wrong they are. If you consistently cover these training aspects week over week you’ll get bouncy!
