Every time Wakefield have been on last play, Leigh have had someone laying in the ruck, making it hard for the hooker to distribute the ball, making it easier to apply kick pressure. Dark arts but something Leigh are doing very well.

Wakefield deeply unhappy with the situation. I’m told the first they became aware of the game being off was when their media manager was informed about an incoming statement that it was off. Senior people there did not know before that.

I am aware of clubs and agents that offered Salford players for their game this week. They chose not to pursue them. Salford wanted this game off.
