@emmylooroll I think it helps that Bristol Medical School has a strong social medicine history and presence!

Sometimes I feel like the only person in a UK School of Medicine who participates in @ucu strike action. There isn't a culture of strike participation. Maybe because clinical folk (who hold all positions of influence) belong to a different union? They're also paid a lot more! 😂

In HE only VCs, their direct underlings and a few other high paid staff will benefit from this. Meanwhile the same managerial class in HE have been joyfully ripping up your pensions for the last decade with no real justification. Stay angry!

Really great to be out with health science colleagues, and see the solidarity today with comrades from the @BMA_JuniorDocs, @pcs_union, @Bristol_UCU and many others on College Green. Great to be reminded of our united struggle! Solidarity forever. #ucuRISING
