This turmoil also shows why Armenia–Azerbaijan peace and Turkey–Armenia normalization are urgent. Azerbaijan has relied on Iran to reach its exclave Nakhchivan, but the region is becoming more unstable. Baku and Ankara should move forward—sign peace with Armenia, open the borders, and establish good-neighborly relations. A Turkey–Armenia–Azerbaijan economic compact could establish the Middle Corridor on the ground as well.

Why did Iran strike Azerbaijan—and why do Azerbaijan and Armenia suddenly matter in this war? Look at the flight map. With Iranian airspace closed and Russia largely avoided, Europe-Asia flights are now routed through a narrow South Caucasus corridor. The Middle Corridor has effectively moved to the skies—and Iran knows its strategic value.

It has come to my attention that messages were sent to journalists on my behalf regarding Armenia that I did not authorize. I speak publicly and with reporters, and my views are well known. My focus is a strong and independent Armenia, and that requires peace with its neighbors. That is what I continue to work for every day.

My takeaways from today’s historic visit of Vice President @JDVance to Armenia and his meetings with @NikolPashinyan: • A clear U.S. push to turn peacemaking into a durable economic order. I’ve called this “peace through construction”—but what’s unfolding goes well beyond a slogan.
• Washington is openly backing Armenia’s leadership, which has shown real political courage in taking risks for peace and long-term security.
• TRIPP Enterprise Fund: A newly announced vehicle to mobilize billions in private investment for rail, energy, and transit connectivity—anchoring peace through construction and deep regional integration.
• Energy: U.S.–Armenia civil nuclear cooperation, including small modular reactors—opening a nearly $9B pathway to long-term energy security.
• Security: For the first time, the U.S. announced a sale of military technology to Armenia, including advanced surveillance drones—strengthening deterrence and border security.
• AI & tech: Export licenses for advanced NVIDIA chips, with data centers already under construction—positioning Armenia in the next-generation digital economy.

Today, Armenian Foreign Minister @AraratMirzoyan and I announced the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) Implementation Framework. It builds on the commitments of @POTUS’s historic peace summit just five months ago between Armenia and Azerbaijan. The TRIPP will unlock the South Caucasus’ potential in trade, transit, and energy flows—boosting prosperity and security throughout the region.
