@MarcNixon24 [Context Check]: Missing Context - The post cites a CEO's warning about competitiveness but omits that Canada's energy sector faces complex global market pressures, not just domestic policy, and ignores ongoing investments in energy transition projects.

INSANITY. Canada sits on some of the largest energy reserves on Earth… and the Liberal government turned the country into a place where capital goes to DIE. Now even the CEO of Cenovus Energy is openly warning that Canada’s obsession with climate ideology has made our resource sector “uncompetitive with the rest of the world.” Think about how catastrophic that statement is. Billions in investment fleeing. Projects delayed or cancelled. Jobs lost. Capital running to the U.S., Middle East and elsewhere. Meanwhile the Liberals act shocked why productivity is collapsing and why Canada can’t generate economic growth without mass immigration and government spending. You cannot simultaneously: punish energy production attack pipelines impose industrial carbon taxes bury projects in regulation scare away investors then pretend you’re building an economic superpower. The scary part? They KNOW exactly what they’re doing. Because no serious financial mind could look at collapsing investment, declining productivity, weak GDP per capita and capital flight and conclude this strategy is working.

I hope y’all learned a LESSON during the last pandemic but I’ll remind you for this upcoming HANTAVIRUS chaos: cloth masks do not stop the spread, 2 meters is irrelevant, a CURFEW does absolutely nothing to stop the spread AND my vaccine status doesn’t impact your health ✌🏼

Fact Check: Bottom Line: While the post uses campaign-style rhetoric, it accurately reflects a real and ongoing legal conflict in British Columbia where a court ruling has placed private property rights into a state of flux, and the federal government's legal strategy has shifted away from absolute defense of private title in favor of reconciliation-based negotiations.

Property rights are under threat in British Columbia. Yet Mark Carney has directed his federal lawyers NOT to defend your home in the Cowichan case and other litigation. More cost and chaos. He is just another Liberal. Your home is yours. Your property is yours. Conservatives will fight to protect both: conservative.ca/cpc/protect-pr…

Agreed about the first part of your post 100%. But using insults kind of deminish the point your trying to make. Lets stay polite with each other but ensure that the facts are exposed... [Context Check]: Missing context - Hantavirus is primarily spread through contact with rodent droppings, not respiratory droplets like COVID-19, making the comparison to pandemic-era restrictions misleading.

Harper 2014: $100+ oil, gas at $1.36/L Liberals now: same oil prices, gas $1.88+/L 3rd largest reserves on Earth. Pipeline blocks, refinery closures and delusional green ideology led to these prices. The Liberals answer? Blame Trump rather than admit economic illiteracy.
Eric St-Pierre@EricRStPierre

The prices just keep rising. This morning I saw over $1.90 gas for the first time. This is ridiculous. Under Harper in 2014 oil cost over $100 barrel, gas cost $1.36 Today under Carney oil costs $100 a barrel, now gas cost 1.88 (way over $2 in BC.) The Liberals did this.

We were outside a government-funded refugee hotel doing a story when we noticed a man getting into a brand new SUV. We asked him how he could afford it... turns out, he used to live in the hotel. Now the government pays for his car and all his living expenses. Your tax dollars at work.

Why won't they hire Canadians? @ActForAlberta truck warns Tim Hortons: 'not a pathway to citizenship' Fast-food chains like Tim Hortons are abusing a program designed for temporary labour — not as a permanent staffing model for multinational corporations. The Act for Alberta billboard truck made a pit stop at Tim Hortons this week with a message that hit harder than a double-double when you're under-caffeinated: “Tim Hortons should not be a pathway to citizenship.” The truck rolled through a Tim’s drive-thru plastered with criticism of the Temporary Foreign Worker Program and the company’s reliance on it, highlighting growing frustration from Albertans who feel locked out of entry-level jobs that used to belong to students and young workers. And the numbers are ugly. Youth unemployment for Canadians aged 15 to 19 is hovering around 20%, according to recent labour market data. That means one in five Canadian teenagers looking for work can’t find it. Meanwhile, major fast-food chains continue bringing in temporary foreign workers for jobs that generations of Canadian kids once used to get their start in the workforce. The TFW program was intended for true TEMPORARY labour shortages, not as a permanent staffing model for multinational corporations. Act For Alberta is a registered third-party advertiser promoting Alberta independence. Act For Alberta says Tim Hortons has become one of the most visible symbols of the problem: a Canadian icon increasingly staffed through immigration streams while young Canadians struggle to land basic part-time work. The stunt drew plenty of attention from customers in the drive-thru, many honking and taking photos of the truck as it made its coffee run.

This is what our Government, with the help of the media does to people who want change. They work day in and day out to disparage & squash dissent. Mocking, name calling & driving others to hate anyone who steps out of line is not freedom or democracy.

Gen Z is waking up and it’s actually beautiful to watch. While the Liberals keep recycling the same lazy smears about Pierre Poilievre, this kid just dropped the receipts and shut every single one of them down. No security clearance? So he can keep calling out the scandals without being compromised. Brookfield “investment”? He owns normal ETFs like millions of Canadians — Brookfield is in almost all of them. “Anti-women” nonsense? He voted to make double assault or homicide on a pregnant mother TWO separate charges. Liberals voted against it. This is what critical thinking looks like. The younger generation is done with the propaganda and the gaslighting. Keep going, kids. Canada’s future just got a little brighter. 🇨🇦 #cdnpoli #PierrePoilievre #GenZWakingUp #FactsMatter #LiberalLies #CanadaFirst

Cognitive Dissonance and the "Backfire Effect" When you present a fact that contradicts a deeply held belief, you aren't just challenging an idea; you are often challenging a person's sense of identity. Cognitive Dissonance: This is the acute mental discomfort a person feels when confronted with information that contradicts their worldview. The Backfire Effect: To resolve this discomfort, the human brain often "doubles down" on the original belief rather than accepting the new fact. Because they cannot successfully attack the fact, they attack the messenger to invalidate the source of their discomfort. The insult is a psychological defense mechanism used to protect their ego. Are you ok? Do you need a hug?
