In Austin, I noticed a new omnipresent look among the men. Baseball hat with salad coming out of the back. Heavy scruff. No tan. White muscle shirt under plaid button down. Jack Donoghue/MLB/white construction worker chic. Sudden, identical, and everywhere. Stepford bros.

I’ve gone to the same gym for almost 4 years now. Good friends with nearly everyone there. One day a guy who used to make small talk with me, just stopped. Didn’t think much of it, but it went on for weeks. Found out later he’s a liberal and someone showed him my X account and he just won’t talk to me now. This has happened many many many times since becoming publicly conservative. I’ve lost many friends and even many more acquaintances. They won’t even discuss us. Won’t even look at me. It’s bad for me… but it’s 10,000x worse for my wife. Liberal women are genuinely EVIL to conservative women. It’s on another level. Pure evil. No one talks about this enough but the public shaming of people who are openly conservative is extremely intense and unless you have a lot of mental fortitude and surround yourself with better people quickly… I can understand why many find it is not worth saying anything at all. But that doesn’t make it harder for those of us who speak up… because we are the few.

I feel like Dallas is the city with the most untapped potential. Dallas could completely take over if they wanted to. IF they wanted to. I lived in Uptown in the 2010s and loved it. Really what would take Dallas to the next level is if they just embraced their own identity more. What I mean by that is right now, Lower Greenville hates on Highland Park, which hates on Deep Ellum, which hates on Plano Can't we all just get along? You don't really see that in, for example, NYC. You don't see Astoria beefing with Meatpacking District. People have different preferences, sure, but that's what a city is for. Dallas has tons of hot girls, great businesses (more arriving all the time), airport with global reach; it's not going to be another NYC or London, but it could be another Chicago, without all the crime. I think the missing gap is the identity. Austin knows what it is. If Dallas figures out what it is, it could take off.

@S_K_Dunn_ @TCinDALLAS His strikeout rate is concerning for sure but a lot is bad luck. His bat speed and average exit velocity have declined but his barrel rate is near a career high. You trust those balls will start landing for hits eventually with someone like Seager.
