I have posted a fair amount of material lately that is critical of Israel and that draws attention to what I believe to be an ongoing genocide being perpetrated by the Israeli state. I want to be clear, I am not indifferent to loss of life or human suffering, regardless of the religion or ethnicity of those affected. I hold myself to a standard of moral consistency and apply the same principles equally to all parties. What I have no time for is the hypocrisy and double standards that so often characterise the defence of Israel's actions. The attacks on Israel did not occur in a vacuum. Iran is not attacking without cause or context, it is responding to a war that Israel and the United States chose to start. That is not a justification for any particular act - it is simply an acknowledgement of the sequence of events that brought us here. My hope is all parties can see the futility of escalation and calmer heads prevail. Unfortunately, I'm also a realist and many thousands more will die until we agree the cost is too great.

@TrevorSheatz My man, you're comparing your wife, the mother of your children to a prostitute.

My wife was formerly promiscuous. I was a virgin. She was then radically born-again. Committed to church, evangelized constantly, Puritan books in her bedroom, prayer journals, grief over past sexual sin, etc. We got to know each other well for over a year, dated for four months, engaged for two and a half, and didn't sin sexually with one another. Our first kiss with each other was at the altar on our wedding day (reaction pic attached!). We've been married for over five years now, and she's been the most wonderful and godly wife, mother to our three children, and homemaker you could imagine. She's more pure than most virgins, as biblical purity has less to with past sins (though they certainly matter) and more to do with one's current posture of the heart and daily decisions to honor the Lord (Matt. 5:8). We're far too quick to forget the story of the woman labeled as a known "sinner" (likely a prostitute) in Luke 7:36-50 who was washing Jesus' feet with her tears while kissing them too. The Pharisees were shocked that Jesus let a public sinner do this. Jesus responded with a parable about debts being forgiven and ended with this powerful conclusion: "Her many sins have been forgiven; that’s why she loved much. But the one who is forgiven little, loves little" (Luke 7:47). Everyone seems to highlight the benefits of virginity, and it certainly is a blessing. But we forget to highlight the benefits of being forgiven much as well. My wife knows the depths of Jesus' forgiveness more than most people, enabling her to more easily live out a life of passionate love for her Savior. A woman or man's past sexual sin matters. But what matters far more when it comes to deciding who to marry is if the person is truly born again, if their repentance is real, if they truly have a heart for Christ, if they truly follow Jesus and obey his commands. "God has chosen what is foolish in the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen what is weak in the world to shame the strong. God has chosen what is insignificant and despised in the world — what is viewed as nothing — to bring to nothing what is viewed as something, so that no one may boast in his presence. It is from him that you are in Christ Jesus, who became wisdom from God for us — our righteousness, sanctification, and redemption, — in order that, as it is written: 'Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.'" (1 Cor. 1:27-31) "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, and see, the new has come!" (2 Cor. 5:17)

If someone argues that a former promiscuous woman is "damaged goods" and questions whether a Christian young man should marry her, remember Rahab. She was a Canaanite prostitute but became a mother in the lineage of Jesus. God redeemed her, cleansed her, and Salmon married her.

A group of jews confronted the Aljazeera crew in Golders Green. Called them monkeys and dogs. Then told police they felt unsafe and alleged the news would go to 'terrorists'. The officer's reply: 'I understand' Not the West Bank. This is Britain.

Who is talking about toppling America you absolute muppet. The rest of your pathetic rant is typical American lack of self-awareness of how the rest of the world views your country, which has a ridiculously short history almost entirely built on killing large numbers of other people (mostly out of fear) when you take a break from killing yourselves. Stealing land, slavery, racial segregation, belief in angels, corruption, greed, the lie of the American dream and a litany of other idiotic ideas is what America is. And you talk about terror states — what are you now if not a terror state. I appreciate the irony of being called stupid by you ( and we Brits say you Americans can't do irony ) also suspect the little man quip is pure projection (although to be fair, you're probably obese).

@GaryMaylin @SpencerGuard @IDF You can’t TOPPLE America you idiot! It’s an idea held by the people. A terrorist state that takes OVER a country CAN be toppled. Like JAPAN, GERMANY and a million other examples throughout history. You are a very very stupid little man

“Decapitation strikes don’t work,” they say. “The strategy isn’t working,” they say after 5, 10, or 20 days. Strategic effects are cumulative. Impatience is not analysis. Let's review just what Israel has stuck in Iran according to @IDF 🧵

Seeing financial markets so directly managed and manipulated as a vector of war (while the President’s inner circle reaps short-term directional profits), is definitely one of the novelties of this moment.

I don't know what to believe anymore but if the Trump administration were speaking to Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf clandestinely, and by doing so his life was endangered, then it's not surprising it was revealed very quickly by Israeli sources as a way of ensuring the war continues.

If he's worried this person will be killed by other Iranians, fair to ask how much this person can actually negotiate on behalf of the regime If he's worried this person will be killed by Israel, well, that's a whole other problem And of course there's also a chance this person doesn't exist, or that a few messages were exchanged but it's nothing more serious than that

@WeTheBrandon @joekent16jan19 @realDonaldTrump The question is will the Iranian regime accept the distinction or simply see Israel's attack on energy infrastructure as a completion of Trump's threat and attack their prearranged targets in the region?
