@mgphoto314 @pHalfacre_STL Yeah my EF 300mm was slowed drastically also on mechanical.

@GaryMiddendorf @pHalfacre_STL I haven’t had much warping with football. Basketball I shoot mech. at full FPS with RF glass so no issue. My big gripe is the slowing mech. FPS for non-qualified (e.g., old or third party) EF lenses. And after almost a year of using the R5 this field is my first banding headache

#CanonR5 sports shooters: I’m using a legacy lens that doesn’t support full mechanical FPS so I’m shooting electronic shutter. Some stadiums I’m getting bad banding. Any solution besides just shooting with my 7D2?

@mgphoto314 Warping (ie baseball bat looks like a pool noodle) is unavoidable when shooting very high speed action, at least with the R6.
