Back (again) on the beautiful island of Lesvos for more orchid hunting - day one - miniature Bee Orchid

Didn’t think I would get see this tonight 👏 amazing display #NorthernLights #Auroraborealis Over Manchester @StormHour

This is what greeted me when I arrived on #Lesvos on Monday 😱 - thankfully it has been lovely since then, it was a pretty spectacular #storm

Just settled down for the evening when I was told there was a chance to see a mushroom I had never seen. Who needs a cozy night in when there's a chance to witness nature's hidden treasures? So raincoat on, umbrella in hand☔️ Found it! Snakeskin Grisette - Amanita ceciliae

Amidst the towering snow-capped peaks - I had the incredible privilege of spotting the elusive Dark Vanilla Orchid, a tiny little beauty with its delightful vanilla fragrance. Nature never ceases to amaze me! Not fully open yet - still a delight to find #Nature

Stormy day - high winds and choppy sea but did manage to see a little egret - #Abersoch

@botany_beck Yes it’s lovely. They grow in the same place every year about five spikes amongst all the normal ones
