Unfortunately, having to field a bare 11 this afternoon cost us in the 2nd half. A well contested first 45, tired legs got the better of us after the break.

MATCHDAY - We face @WalkergateF this afternoon. 2nd in the league after an impressive run in August. Up the Boro🟢⚫️

Massive game coming up on Saturday as we take on Division 2 high flyers @ath_res in the 1st Round of the league cup. Come on down to support the lads as we kick off game 1 of 5 in a row at home! 🟢⚫️

A valiant effort from the lads last night ultimately ends in defeat, but a lot of positives to take forward. First goal for gaffer Tristan with a beautifully placed strike as well 🟢⚫️

Fielding a team was the biggest achievement of the day with the usual bank holiday issues. Massive shout out to our 3 debutants and our full back who spent 90 between the sticks.

With 20 goals scored in our respective mid-week fixtures, I doubt this one will end as a bore draw! We make a short journey north today to face @redhousefarm99. Up the Boro 🟢⚫️

@WBSFC72 Cheers! It takes time to gel and find the best XI, followed you closely last season and wouldn’t mind a finish to the season as you lads had 💯

FT - Gateshead Borough 4-4 Forest Hall United Wasn’t there tonight as on holiday but I’m told it was a very good performance from the lads, still just lacking the 2nd half start we need to get us going. Points on the board ✅ Onto the weekend 🫡

After two attempts at an away game last week, we return home on Wednesday to play @ForestHallUtd. After a bumpy start they are starting to find their feet coming into the match on the back of two wins, the Borough are still searching for their first points 🟢⚫️

Official reason was not given to us by the referee who made a sharp exit from the pitch. We wouldn’t like to comment on a public forum, but feel very aggrieved given the upper hand we had on the match and the absence of any obvious issue.

MATCH ABANDONED- Referee has abandoned our match after 48 minutes. Shocking after travelling so far to say the least.

DURHAM FA CUP - PRELIMINARY ROUND We have been given a home tie against Durham City in our first county cup match in September - more details to follow 🟢⚫️
