Goodbye, FROSTED (Tapit - Fast Cookie, by Deputy Minister), whose death due to laminitis was reported by @DarleyAmerica . What a racehorse FROSTED was! And, as Godolphin's Dan Pride stated in the release, he was a huge fan favorite at Jonabell. Condolences to all who loved him.

That's two wins in a row for Fightertown ($4), who immediately assumed command under Carlos Lopez before sprinting on home in the fifth @LaurelPark for @GaudetRacing. Seventh lifetime win for Into Mischief (@spendthriftfarm) gelding. 5-7-4-1

I can’t say it enough, whenever it’s time to step up my owners come through and do the absolute right thing for the horse. Brad’s Equine Adventure, Equi-Venture and Brett Tahajaian have agreed to retire Speightster Red and we’re working on finding him a good home. We will keep you updated on his progress

It’s no secret that FanDuel TV will eventually be closing shop. From camerawoman to feature producer, I spent 23 years dedicating my life to telling stories to horse racing fans. And when I say I dedicated my life, I truly mean it. Just like every other horse racing employee around the world, there is something about this business that pulls you in and never lets go. You give it your heart and soul. You sacrifice your family, your time, your friends—for a community that somehow becomes your family, your life, your friends. It’s hard to describe this kind of dedication, but everyone in horse racing understands it. It’s a different world. Is it the horses? Or is it the people you meet along the way—the ones who make the same sacrifices, who live the same life, who understand without you ever having to explain it? When we received the news that we would no longer be part of a network we poured our heart and soul into, the first thing we all thought about wasn’t ourselves—it was about the people we’re about to lose. The coworkers who became family. The horse racing enthusiasts now searching for their place in an industry that doesn’t have many places to go. The people who have been living this life twice as long as I have. It’s a shame it has to come to an end. But I will never forget the relationships we built, the memories we made, the years on the road with my HRTV/TVG/FanDuel TV family. The storylines that touched us. The races that shocked us. The racetracks that welcomed us. The backsides that smelled like horse shit—but somehow felt like a breath of fresh air every morning. Watching the sunrise. Saying “good morning” to every single person you pass. Feeding peppermints to horses you fall in love with. Cheering for horsemen you may not even know—but feel like you do, because you told their story. Everyday people don’t understand this. They don’t even know this world exists. Horsemen do. I’m in TV, but in a lot of ways, I consider myself a horseman too. I don’t ride horses. I can’t train horses. I don’t even bet on horses. But I understand this life. I understand this industry. And I will miss all of it. But more than anything, I will miss the family I found along the way—especially my FanDuel TV family. You know who you are. And we will always be family.

Legendary trainer Roger Attfield on retiring from training: "All of my life, I have always been a hands-on trainer, and now at 86 I can no longer ride out on my pony with sets, and unable to safely inspect them in stalls. Both of these things always helped me understand my horses' needs, mentally and physically, to get the very best from them. No longer being able to perform these duties properly, it’s time to say Hasta La Vista!"

Jockeys Samuel Marin and Yedsit Hazlewood both moved in front of Irad Ortiz for win totals in 2026, but the apprentice Hazlewood's 26 wins so far in March double up on Marin's 13. Both are riing hot right now. Who will be on top at the end of this coming week?

Pre-race routine: stretch, hydrate… attempt liftoff. Baffle added a little extra excitement before the Virginia Oaks, but went on to finish 3rd. All horses & people were safe!

Horse racing has been a part of my life since my early teens and in 1987 I had the privilege of saddling my first winner as a trainer. Nearly 40 years later, I look back on my career with pride and gratitude. The countless memories, friendships, and opportunities that horse racing gave me will always be a part of who I am. None of my success as a trainer would’ve been possible without the people that I work with, both past and present. I’m especially appreciative of the owners that put their trust in me. Thank you doesn’t come close to expressing my gratitude. I’m proud to share that my assistant Kinnon Larose (@RealKinnon) will be taking the reins and become the trainer of record for the barn. He deserves it. I’ve watched him grow into an incredibly talented horseman as he’s worked by my side for the last six years. I will get as much joy watching Kinnon win races as I would if I were the trainer. To the entire racing community, thank you for decades of unforgettable memories and the joy it has brought me, my team, and my family! I’m not going anywhere, just ready to support and watch the next generation lead our industry. With Horsemen like Kinnon, we are in good hands. Sincerely, Tom
