The developers of Subnautica 2 want to keep the game non-violent like the first one.
They want players to adapt and live with the ocean creatures instead of fighting or killing them with weapons. This core idea started years ago when studio founder Charlie Cleveland chose to leave guns out of the series after the Sandy Hook shooting.
He wanted the game to feel like peaceful exploration of nature rather than adding more violence to the world.
Even though fans from one country overwhelmingly asked for the chance to craft weapons in the sequel the team says this will be a repeated point of resistance.
One developer explained "I think it's a point of resistance that we'll get repeatedly while making the game though we feel strongly about it."
So players must instead use smart tools evasion and distraction to survive.

Krafton is set to pay a $250 million bonus to the developers of Subnautica 2 after the game’s explosive Early Access launch.
In 2021, when Krafton acquired Unknown Worlds Entertainment, the deal included an earn-out clause.
If the studio’s revenue from the Subnautica series exceeded $69.8 million, Krafton would owe $3.12 for every additional dollar generated, up to a maximum bonus of $250 million.
Subnautica 2 launched into Early Access selling over one million copies in the first hour and surpassing two million in just 12 hours.
These figures make it highly likely that the revenue targets will be comfortably exceeded before the court-extended deadline of September 2026.
Krafton had previously delayed the release and changed studio leadership to prevent the bonus from triggering.
A Delaware court ruled these actions were intended to avoid the payout, ordering the reinstatement of former CEO Ted Gill and granting additional time for the earn-out period.

@ScreamerRSA @Pirat_Nation Chill your life. Its Not a big Deal that people can live there lifes like they want. If its to mimuch for you stop using Internet.

Subnautica 2's Steam EULA is getting huge backlash.
On first launch, players must accept a detailed End User License Agreement, and players are worried after read them
>The agreement grants a license to play the game rather than transferring ownership.
>It includes restrictions on streaming, screenshots, recordings, and certain types of content creation or monetization, often requiring disclaimers.
>The publisher retains the right to revoke access for specified reasons.
>Terms may be updated unilaterally, with users expected to review changes.
>The agreement covers data collection practices involving personal and device information.
>It addresses ownership of player-created content, modifications, and related materials.
>Additional clauses address liability limits, dispute resolution through arbitration in California, and prohibitions on certain software tools, VPN use, and other activities.
The game has achieved strong reception overall, with Very Positive Steam reviews and high concurrent player counts. Unknown Worlds Entertainment has noted that it is reviewing player feedback on the EULA.
Some players have requested refunds after reading the EULA, while others just say the terms are normal with industry standards.

@JAU_4 @Pirat_Nation You're really comparing water and air to owning digital video games? I'd tell you to go touch grass but you're Eurotrash government probably makes you get a license for that too
English

@EPG_Gaming_247 @Pirat_Nation Maybe when they actually release a game.
English

mmm don't agree, they gave THIER FANBASE exactly what THEY wanted.. MORE SUBNAUTICA but bigger and better.. and with online multiplayer co op..
Judging by the games sales and also the user counts.. the fanbase agree!
No game and especially a sequel to a beloved game will live up to the hype.. But they have done right by them and deserve the payout. These guys used some shady tactics to avoid payouts. Disgusting behavior.
English

@Gaust_Jaeger @HurricanePL2 @ScreamerRSA @Pirat_Nation It is a retarded take but even a retard is right twice a day or however the saying goes I forget.
I mean, the game is $30, should be triple A price but nope. $30 is a steal. You can even get all 3 subnautica games for $40.
The game is priced more than fairly imo.
English

@Shinky78126471 @EPG_Gaming_247 @Pirat_Nation Lol early as in alpha level of content? Gtfoh. Theyve been working on this for years. Pathetic amount of content. Even for an early access title. Stop blowing them. Loser
English

@Gaust_Jaeger @EPG_Gaming_247 @Pirat_Nation Clearly marketed as an early access alpha, nobody went into it expecting the full game. Use your brain.
English

@IGN Let’s normalize not posting BS about things you have no idea about. Saros a masterpiece and a must play for any real gamers

PlayStation 5 exclusive Saros has sold around 300,000 copies in its opening fortnight, generating over $22 million in revenue, according to analyst data. bit.ly/4d7S5MV

English

@LujiBoujee @R4DI4RT @Pirat_Nation Youre a fgt. Theres 10 hours of gameplay at most in S2. Grow up retard.
English

@R4DI4RT @Pirat_Nation is $30 a "high price" to you? How fucking poor are you lmfao? 🤣
I bet youll cry when GTA6 ends up being $80 or even $100 lol
English

@ScreamerRSA @Pirat_Nation Well yeah? The game is still extremely cheap, if you can't afford this just change your hobby
English

@EPG_Gaming_247 @Pirat_Nation They crafted barely 10hours of content. This game sold on its predecessor reputation, on its own its complet shit. Maybe in 2-3years when theres an actual game.
English

@Pirat_Nation Insane greed. These devs deserve the payout. They worked dam hard to craft incredible experiences. Why don't the higher ups in these companies ever learn the number 1 rule of business! LOOK after your people and the business will look after U.

Eric Kripke says ‘THE BOYS’ series finale is around 1 hour & 5 minutes long.
“We’re not doing that huge, super-sized 90-minute thing… I think the audience might have ended up getting bored had we gone that long.”
(Source: collider.com/the-boys-seaso…)

English

@DiscussingFilm Lol weve been bored for a long time with this show. What a snooze fest the last 2 seasons were.
English

@ArcRaidersInfo PVE mode should have less rewards and less nice obtainable cosmetics. I am happy to play the current mode as it is, part of the fun is the fear or being shot down randomly. The current PvPvE is the best version. Fight if you want, avoid if you want.
