The spouse visa system will be eased, to allow citizens of non-red list countries to join their British partners. There are underhand attempts to misrepresent our position. Ignore it. Send them this post. We speak for ourselves, and only ourselves. This is not controversial. This is certainly not 'neo-nazi' as Reform claim. This is the position of the vast majority of the British people, and they finally have a political party representing that view now. Restore Britain.

It's been a refreshing season I hope it's not the last.

Why do parents seem to think it's OK to go into an adult space like a coffee shop with children, then fail to control their noisy brats, spoiling the entire atmosphere for the grown-ups in the room? This brattish screaming is a consequence of parents placating kids with devices, instead of putting in a bit of work and teaching them discipline and good manners..

My wife just asked me what I want for my birthday next month. I said I don't need anything. This is a trap I set for myself every year. If I say I don't need anything, she'll get me something she thinks I need. Which is usually clothes or "an experience" like tickets to something. I don't want clothes or experiences. I want the new iPad Pro. But I can't say I want the new iPad Pro because I just got a MacBook "for work" two months ago (that lives at my house). So I'll wait a week and casually mention that my current iPad is "getting slow" and "probably needs to be replaced soon." She'll suggest I get it through work. I'll say "IT equipment purchases are frozen right now, budget constraints." This is a lie. But it's a necessary lie. Then she'll suggest maybe that's what she could get me for my birthday. I'll reluctantly agree. She'll think it was her idea. I'll get exactly what I want. Marriage is just long-term negotiation with someone who knows all your tactics but loves you anyway.
