@GavinMunt2 @djebel At the price $1.70 vs the $4.20 (when I posted) I feel he is the safer bet, he is proven at this distance, he is proven at this class, he brings 2 better ratings into this race than he did last year so nothing tells me his form has dropped off. Hopefully map falls into place.

@Jamal_UmpireWA @WhyFightIt Too many group ones everywhere with not enough grand finals. Japan the only place that does it properly.
English

@WhyFightIt @GavinMunt2 There does need to be an overhaul of G1 races in Australia, there is too many G1s in Australian racing. Anyway if we are looking down the track towards the spring then they will probably clash in the Cox Plate.

Belmont Race 2 #5 Jolson Al @$3.00 currently on Tabtouch. 2u win

@LeeroyLives @bstocko12 If she can get 2000m the plate could be a belter.
English

@GavinMunt2 @bstocko12 Yeas we don't know. I suspect she's a 1400m - 1600m horse with that turn of foot. Her pedigree suggests this too. If she's equally effective at 2000m the Cox Plate is all over but I doubt it. She ripped past Autumn Boy hands and heels & he's a pretty good 3yo. He franked it Sat.
English

@LeeroyLives @bstocko12 Makybe Diva. We don’t even know where Alibi will even get to ceiling wise yet.
English

@GavinMunt2 @bstocko12 Which race(s) ? Only race I can see a chance would be the Makybe Diva. I have my doubts. Sheza Alibi will prep in Melb Autumn Glow in Syd. Sheza Alibi will likely go to Syd for the Golden Eagle and Autumn Glow will head to Melb for the Cox Plate
English

@LeeroyLives @bstocko12 @Halfastar No? Haha means he was the best horse at the time. The turnball victory was the telling point where he absolutely brained him. Has nothing to do with the entire point of this post that he isn’t an easy option 3rd up at 2000m. Queen of the turf was the easy option
English

@GavinMunt2 @bstocko12 @Halfastar I was replying to the other bloke who made a point of saying Sir Delius was fav for the Cox Plate so he's some superstar 2000m horse yet omitted the fact that he was $4 fav for the Melbourne Cup. Does that make him a star 2 miler as well ?
English

@GavinMunt2 @Halfastar @bstocko12 I wouldn't be backing anything to beat Autumn Glow in the Queen Elizabeth. $1.50 seems to be the new even money with the corporates these days. If she was $2 I'd be loading her but won't be touching $1.50, unless it's a 3 or 4 leg multi but even then I doubt it
English

@LeeroyLives @Halfastar @bstocko12 She is very good so there’s no reason for her not to!?
I would think 2000m at her best would be right up her alley especially if there’s some juice or it’s a test. She’s a very interesting runner that’s for sure.
English

@GavinMunt2 @Halfastar @bstocko12 She'll beat Sir Delius you can be sure of that. As for Dubai Honour and Barnavara well Dubai Honour is an 8yo whose had plenty of racing now and Barnavara is hard to line up. Narrow Grp1 winner in F&M L'Opera at 2000m Longchamps on Soft. That usually equates to 2400m form in Aust
English

@GavinMunt2 @LeeroyLives @Halfastar Who was our mate who didn’t understand racing from a few years ago? Is this his burner account?
English

@bstocko12 @LeeroyLives @Halfastar Haha nah debates this time around are much better. Leroy’s alright.
English

@LeeroyLives @bstocko12 @Halfastar I’ve explained to you the correlation with his second up run from last prep too where he hit a flat spot. Then went bang third up. I’m not saying he can beat the two mares. Purely saying it’s not a weak option 🤦♀️ how is that cherry picking
English

@bstocko12 @Halfastar @GavinMunt2 He was also a solid $4 fav to win the Melbourne Cup. Cherry picking much ?
He was also beaten by Aeliana and Lindermann at 2000m on Saturday.
English

@WhyFightIt Northerly ran in a CC and missed the MC. Other than that was mostly at WFA. She won her handicap and stuck to our best races at WFA. Everyone knew where she was going so they went elsewhere in her last two preps.
English

@GavinMunt2 Please , same prep basically 4 years in a row. Northerly won handicaps with big weights, didn't dodge anything
English

@LeeroyLives @Halfastar @bstocko12 Doesn’t make him an easy option when he’s still proven at the trip and was clear fave for our greatest race. It’s not going to be a walk in the park but if she hoses up well then we have something extremely special.
English

@Halfastar @GavinMunt2 @bstocko12 2000m may not be Sir Delius' suitable distance but it's highly likely Autumn Glow's suitable distance. His sire, Frankel, has sired Derby, Oaks, King George and Arc winners at 2400m, St Leger winners at 2800m & even a Gold Cup winner at 4000m. Sir Delius is a 2400m+ horse imo
English

@LeeroyLives @bstocko12 If she went to the queen of the turf instead I would be in agreement. But she hasn’t gone to a much easier assignment. Thinking she has is just factually incorrect.
English

@GavinMunt2 @bstocko12 Dodging the 3yo filly in the Doncaster is funny. If she's so good let's see how good she actually is. More Joyous won with 57.5kg & Sunline won with 58kg beating Shogun Lodge & Defier ! The precedence is there and they tanked it with 57kg. Their choice of course but a bit weak
English

@LeeroyLives @bstocko12 Unlucky in an Arc too. But has shown he can be dominant at 2000m and arguably wins the plate comfortably if fit last year. Hypothetical I know.
But it’s definitely a stronger race except for Alibi
English

@GavinMunt2 @bstocko12 Sir Delius would be better suited in the Tancred then Sydney Cup. By Frankel, who predominantly sires staying types, Sir Delius was placed in a French Derby at 3yo. Unfortunately he's going to carry weight in a handicap and there's stuff all WFA races beyond 2000m
