@elonmusk Meanwhile Trump talking about a sovereign wealth fund to buy TikTok and create state-funded media

BBC is literally state-funded media
Basil the Great@BasilTheGreat
Found out today that USAID funds the BBC WTF?

@tmsilverman That's the point - if you have mental health issues, then a therapist who has experienced the same issues as you, and worked through them, is going to be more help than someone who hasn't.
English

@Stab_Ol It certainly is the parent's job, but that's exceptionally hard to police. Do you want the state to track the food you serve in your home? Poor nutrition has a negative impact on learning, behaviour and career prospects, so it's a good idea to have a state-supported safety net.

Killing-off Billingsgate and Smithfield markets is a horrific erasure of London's medieval food trading heritage. I loved visiting these markets. For the first time in nearly 1,000 years, London will be without wholesale meat and fish markets. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

Very odd to see JSO support industries which are dependent on fossil fuels. Looks like a case of FOMO tbh
Just Stop Oil@JustStop_Oil
Today, Just Stop Oil Supporters joined the Farmers’ March in solidarity with agricultural workers demanding a future. Farmers are being failed by government policies, cheap imports and supermarket greed, while the climate crisis threatens to destroy food production entirely. If we want a future worth inheriting, we must end fossil fuel extraction by 2030. 🦺 Sign up today - Link in Bio

@RedBird74003923 @BGatesIsaPyscho The windsor castle estate grounds are larger than Manhattan (6,400 hectares) and a lot of it is public parkland.
English

@GavinWren @BGatesIsaPyscho They broke into castle grounds which are supposed to be secured.
They weren’t.
That’s the story and I’ve not seen anyone saying it was “the castle”.
Lackadaisical security surrounding Royal properties which have always been well guarded, should concern everyone.

@AaronLoveman It's an opinion from someone in the UK, a country that's got a lot of form in the "global fall from grace" stakes. We know how to do it properly here.

I have no intention of quitting Twitter. Mostly because I was here before @elonmusk joined.
However, I’m aware lots of people are leaving. So you can also find me on
Threads as @harrywallop – posting about mince pies, Greggs, economic data, realpolitik.
