BREAKING: Seattle street preacher Matthew Meinecke just got cited by University of Washington cops Monday afternoon. He sent me this video of the encounter. Meinecke is refusing to remove his tent from the Quad until @UW leaders issue a formal apology for allowing the Hamas encampment to flourish while disrupting student life for nearly a month. Some students are out here trying to support him. If UW police eventually arrest Meinecke, it would be horrible optics and a double standard since no one else faced consequences for occupying the Quad for nearly a month.
