I've often been asked about which path is the best to start coding 🛠️
Here is my thought : frontend web development 💻
Advantages for beginners are as follows :
✅ HTML & CSS are dead simple to learn, no algorithm knowledges needed
✅ Javascript is one of the more flexible languages
✅ You can see what you code without the need to spend hours, this is really satisfying
✅ The biggest community, if you encounter any issue you can be sure to find the solution via a simple google search
✅ A lot of job opportunities, especially if you use an ultra popular framework like React
Some people don't like this "path to code" because it may give bad practices since Javascript is a very permissive language. This is true BUT :
🔸 A beginner doesn't need to know how to do clean code. What a beginner need is to code, dirt or clean it doesn't matter. If you're learning programming your enemies are motivation and focusing on one thing at a time (no need to learn 25 languages to become a great dev)
🔸 Typescript & a linter enforce you to adopt (some) best practices, it's up to you to use these tools
🔸 You will learn from other developers, put your ego aside
Development is a long journey, you should focus on practicing and building (small) projects rather than struggling with complex concepts
In this journey motivation is the key, choose topics you like, turn your ideas into reality and be proud of yourself for every piece of work you achieve 🔥
Start with some theory about dev basics, go on with a LOT of practice until you can build medium projects, and afterward it will be time to go deeper into theory to learn best practices (or switch to another kind of stuff like web3, backend, video games or whatever you wanna code)
PS : if you choose to go to frontend web dev, I recommend you to switch as soon as possible from Javascript to Typescript (no linter needed at first though). The difficulty is slightly higher but you will learn much faster, totally worth it

@Kurisama91 Depends the language. I like to think that one and one equal three.
