Must watch and share clip of Lebanese journalist @RaniaKhalek on Piers Morgan:
“As a Lebanese person asking me to condemn resistance to a brutal supremacist settler colony is like asking a Jew in the 1940s to condemn resistance to Nazi Germany. My entire life my family and my people have been subjected to constant aggression, war crimes, torture, rape, and land theft by Israel. They’ve currently displaced over 1 million people and now Israel’s finance minister is saying they’re going to annex Southern Lebanon, depopulate it of Lebanese, and replace it with Jewish settlers just like they did in the West Bank.”

@HenrietteLevy @ProudSocialist @RaniaKhalek Shush, I'm trying to listen to a real human and you're here whining and lying through your teeth again.
English

@ProudSocialist @RaniaKhalek They have no shame to use the Shoah against the Jews. But Rania was and is a despicable human being. As is everyone who gives her a platform.

@glampingcenter @ProudSocialist @RaniaKhalek Blah, blah blah. Go cheer lead a genocide somewhere else Nazi.

This is a lie from beginning to end.
Jews in the late 19th and early 20th centuries legally purchased land in Palestine — often from Arab and Turkish landowners. They drained malaria-infested swamps, planted trees, and built settlements on empty and abandoned lands. There was no “robbery and murder” immediately after their arrival.
The settlers had no weapons. Defensive units (Haganah) were created only after a series of Arab pogroms, robberies, and murders (1920, 1921, 1929, and onward). The aggression came from the Arab side — the Jews were simply defending themselves.
Comparing this to “resistance against Nazi Germany” is not “intellectual honesty” — it’s a cynical inversion of history. Jews were not occupiers. They were refugees who bought land and wanted to live in peace. Peace was not given to them.

She is right. Pierce asking a victim of systematic land theft and displacement to condemn their own resistance is the peak of colonial arrogance. The comparison to the 1940s is not hyperbole. When an Israeli Finance Minister openly discusses the annexation and depopulation of Southern Lebanon, the mask of defense is gone. It is a war of conquest. Demanding a condemnation from the people whose homes are being marked for settlement is a psychological war crime in itself.

@garycohen22 @ProudSocialist @RaniaKhalek Yerra, hush up Gary. Your bullsh!t is so boring. And so very wrong. Move on.

@ProudSocialist @RaniaKhalek Talking sh**. Lebanon is defacto occupied by Iran via its proxy Hezbollah which is responsible for the wars and suffering in Lebanon. Hezbollah is not resisting Israel and defending Lebanon. It has rendered Lebanon a virtual failed state on behalf of Iran.
English

@ProudSocialist @RaniaKhalek You cut the video wrong. The wealthy middle aged british man was about to talk. Only he can really talk about this Lebanese woman's experience with any authority. I'm off to find out what clever stuff he said.

🚨 This is extraordinary.
UK security services raiding a lawyer acting in a torture case against the state, and seizing legal files.
That strikes at legal privilege, fair trial rights, and the rule of law itself.
“The UK government’s raid of a lawyer’s office in the case of a Guantanamo Bay suspect allegedly tortured by the CIA with UK knowledge is “extremely troubling”, the High Court has heard.”

Israel used white phosphorus to burn nearly 5,000 acres of south Lebanon’s countryside in order to push Lebanese people out of their homes.
