Hey @VictorianCHO. Your old mate @DanielAndrewsMP has set you up an absolute ripper here! He’s put the interstate mask wearing All IN YOUR HANDS! What are you going to do? You just may well end up more unpopular than him this time next week.
Heidi Murphy@heidimur
Premier says he'll have talks with the CHO this week.. about his advice about whether Victorian restrictions should follow Victorians.. when we are allowed into other states... HUH?!
English

@NicConway11 @DanielAndrewsMP Not bad @NicConway11. Vic has 3 active cases. That’s 0.1 cases per 100k ppl. NSW has 42 cases which equates to 0.5 cases per 100k ppl. As we have been told it’s “wildly infectious” in Vic only. I’ll keep driving the 5km to Albury where it’s less contagious to be safe.
English

Hey @DanielAndrewsMP can I make a suggestion? Instead of making 6.5 million Victorians who don’t have coronavirus continue to wear masks how about we just keep our distance from the 3 people that do have it?
English

@SkyNewsAust In Wodonga being a border resident we’re free to cross into Albury where a mask isn’t required. Like it or not, people are heading to Albury to eat, shop, gyms, go for walks & just spend the day to enjoy the luxury of no face masks then driving back home & masking up. Nonsensical
English

Premier Daniel Andrews says Victorians will be required to wear face masks until at least the end of 2020 and possibly into the beginning of next year.

@adrianbarich @7NewsPerth Massive expectations on Presscot. Ultimately anything but a Premiership in 2021 for @ClaremontTigers is a fail...regardless, Tony Evans and Grant Toovey (puppet) will be responsible.
English

@DavidHodgettMP @Karonleahely Same question that many regional Vic’s are asking...COVID is almost eliminated in regional Vic & inexplicably they still have restrictions. I live in Wodonga which has NOT HAD A CASE. Meanwhile 5kms away in Albury you can have a wedding with 300 people? Same virus, same country!
English

@DanielAndrewsMP Glad the kids can take their masks off for photos in Vic now. We were going to get our students in Wodonga to make the 5 minute drive to Albury (that we are now free to access) where people don’t have to wear them. COVID is less contagious in Albury apparently.
English

@sophieelsworth In COVID free Wodonga (never had a case) our gyms are closed but we can freely access them with a 5 min drive to Albury. Like it or not people are bypassing Wodonga businesses already struggling & heading to Albury for the day to enjoy not wearing face masks. It’s ludicrous!
English

Email from Victorian farmer: Echuca - he must wear a mask outside & even when meeting farmers in paddocks.
1km across the border in Moama. No masks required. Residents mixing. Does the virus discriminate across one side of the Murray River? #COVID19Victoria 😷 🤔
English

@cussernaut it was @BrendanFevola25 that first said that about Yarra. I would think it is actually somewhere in the hills with a nice view.
English

Where exactly is 'God's country'? I'd always assumed Yarrawonga & surrounds. The term seems to be getting thrown around willy nilly a bit these days. #godscountry
English

@VictorianCHO When can we expect the “almost certain” growth of COVID cases in Shepparton that both government and media created panic and hysteria about?
English

One. One-der-ful.
Victorian Department of Health@VicGovDH
Yesterday there was 1 new case & the loss of 0 lives reported. The rolling 14 day average is down in metro Melb & regional Vic. Cases with unknown source is stable. More info available later today. dhhs.vic.gov.au/averages-easin… #COVID19VicData

@Lachy_Reid @WAFLOfficial @10NewsFirstPER Craziness! Has Tony Evans’ name all over it. Internally it’s known that Grant Toovey is a puppet to guys like, Evans and others. Keep in mind Evans isn’t even on the board!?! You would would be a brave man to take on the vacant job.
English

I'm told Darren Harris has been lost his job as Claremont coach ...players being told now. He coached the team to a Grand Final. @WAFLOfficial @10NewsFirstPER
English

@NicConway11 @DanielAndrewsMP I should say that I have seen this printed somewhere else so I can’t claim it as my homework....regardless, it’s compelling detail.
English

Even though we have only recorded 15 new Covid Cases in a State of over 6.5m people it feels like a ton of bricks falls on our heads every day because I get the feeling that @DanielAndrewsMP won’t free us until it’s totally eliminated.
English

@NicConway11 @DanielAndrewsMP Is there anywhere else in the world with a 14 day rolling average of .4 that would not have students at school in full capacity, gyms closed, considerable restrictions on eateries and who we can’t/can visit as well as mandatory wearing of masks?
English

@DanielAndrewsMP today while Regional Victoria’s rolling 14 day avg sits at 0.4 you said “I think it is highly unlikely that nothing will change, there will be some changes.”. With all due respect Mr Premier, I would bloody hope so.
English

@7NewsMelbourne @harro_6 imagine if you copped a fine every time for you bought fried chicken. I estimate it would have equated to around $143,724 in fines...
English

A Melbourne couple has copped a $1652 coronavirus fine for buying fried chicken. #7NEWS 7news.com.au/lifestyle/heal…

@Ro_Smith @newscomauHQ Don’t forget Wodonga (45k people) at the other end of the state. Has actually NEVER had a case - our last and only reported case 64 days ago was that of a former resident who had moved to Melbourne but had not changed his/residential address.

English

For 30,000 people living in Mildura, a Victorian city closer to Adelaide than Melbourne, stage 3 rules apply despite no active cases since April. I want to hear from locals there. DMs open. @newscomauHQ

English

@SvensonJosh @abcnews And tax payers money saved. Yackandandah in COVID free NE Vic - population of 1150. 459 of those work in Albury NSW. Due to stg 3 restrictions & border closure they weren’t allowed to cross the border to work. This equated to more than $2m in Jobkeeper payments. Just one example.
English

Victoria could lose more than 300,000 jobs this year due to pandemic: report abc.net.au/news/2020-09-1…
English

@Karonleahely @DanielAndrewsMP Or he could talk about large regional Victorian towns like Wodonga that have not had a positive case for 57 days. Better position than Qld, S.A, NSW & W.A! There are in excess of 50k people here that are screaming to contribute to our economy in a low risk & measured way.
