This video is going around of a high school wrestling match that happened yesterday. One player showed clear poor sportsmanship… followed immediately by a pretty blatant cheap shot in response. Did the bad behavior ‘earn’ it? Or is a cheap shot never justified no matter what? Team Blue, Team Orange, or are both punks? Sports need passion but where’s the line? Thoughts? 👀

💯! But isn’t this just the type of variation in descriptions that some would use to justify any type of legalities? So my splitting hairs point (or question) is that while one potentially describes an adverse action within the bounds of the game or match - the other could describe a potential criminal act outside of those boundaries. Sorry, my 30+ years in law enforcement may cloud my view but you asked for thoughts. They both were egregious acts outside the bounds of poor sportsmanship IMO, and maybe one worse than the other.

Millennials truly peaked with drinking culture. We inherited the golden era: cheap pitchers, Thirsty Thursdays that turned Wednesdays into warm-ups, ladies’ nights with $5 cosmos and free cover, and dive bars where last call meant “one more round?” No one was filming every sip for TikTok judgment. We had flip phones, zero calorie-tracking apps, and hangovers cured by greasy brunch. Then came the great sobering: wellness influencers, Uber’s rise killing DUIs but also spontaneity, endless lawsuits killing happy hours, and HR departments turning every office into a minefield. Post-2010, “mindful drinking” replaced fun. Bars swapped sticky floors for Instagram walls and mocktails at $14. We never realized how good we had it—unapologetic, analog excess. Can’t go back because society traded joy for safety theater and performative virtue. Gen Z sips oat milk lattes at 11pm. We’ll always have the stories. Raise a (reasonably priced) glass to what was.

I don’t know what this woman’s background is and I don’t care about the melanin in her skin. All I know is I have yet to hear a more impactful and clearly reasoned statement regarding these issues. I salute and applaud this woman.

Just turned 60 - been a gym rat all my adult life and am built well. But man do my joints ache! Heavy weights are a young man’s game and good for them. I was one many years ago. Just trying to maintain muscle mass, very important for older men, so I go much lighter these days. Take the ego out of it older dudes and let’s just stay fit.
