An orphan of drought, Amali may have lost her herd, but she’ll always carry a piece of them with her wherever she goes. Her family wasn’t the only thing Amali lost in 2022 – the tip of her trunk was also severed by a snare before her rescue. Over the weekend, we rescued this little zebra from a pit and reunited him with his family. It started when our SWT/KWS Tsavo Mobile Vet Unit received reports of a foal who had fallen inside a hole along the Nairobi-Mombasa Highway. He had no hope of getting out on his own, but fortunately, his herd was still nearby. The team reported to the scene, pulled the little zebra to safety, gave him a thorough health check, and successfully reunited him with his mother. A little life saved and a wild family kept together. In partnership with the Kenya Wildlife Service, our Mobile Vet Units operate in key ecosystems across Kenya. Excuse me! It’s Percy here. I am SUCH a Snuggle Bug Softy these days. I will do ANYTHING to snuggle with Mum, even if it means I’m squished into a tight space. There is nothing better than a cuddle! 🤎🤎

Twin @ADB0806 think your D will know the answer. We put up bird boxes but no interest after a couple of years. Our garden faces north & can be very windy so the boxes face south to avoid the wind. Is there a better place for them? Some tits inspected them once but that’s all.

Baby elephants are full of bluster. This time, it was Lenny’s turn to play king of the forest! Ten years ago, our Umani Springs Reintegration Unit didn’t even exist. Now, it’s fast turning into a crèche, as the first orphans raised there are growing up, coupling with wild bulls, and having their own kids. Just went for a bimble around the village with M. Much cooler today. Bumped into Doug the spaniel. His D is the retired gamekeeper. Doug’s coat is always very fluffy.

Ryan's bowling was cancelled today because Ryan was the only one that wanted to go as its a group activity it wouldn't of been cost effective to just hire the lane for Ryan, but this meant the minibus was free, still available so when Ryan was asked what he'd like to do instead he shouted.... Asda to look at the DVDs please, so off he went to asda he spent over a hour browsing the DVDs 📀

Morning Pals I’m having my breakfast Al Fresco this morning. M scattered my kibble & then a chopped chopped carrot all around the garden. I was on it straight away with my spaniel nose. The carrot was a bit harder to find but a great game. Hope today is good for you.
