Governor Jeff Landry (@govjefflandry) dropped in my comments on a post from a year ago about @sweetjonesfarms — encouraging support for Black farmers.
Since then, Louisiana farmers have lost $1.8 billion — with Black farmers taking over $200 million of that hit.
Costs up. Prices down. Margins disappearing.
Your side’s politics is hurting our farmers.
Over 1,500 bills moving through the legislature — you’ve got time to target judges in New Orleans, anything for farmers?

State reps controlling funding have hurt Memphis more than Memphis itself. Difference is Memphis has real culture, Nashville feels manufactured. Put us on equal footing and Memphis runs the state. That’s exactly why they hold us back. I’m keepin it honest, no fake cap 🧢.

Smith says LeBron James was wrong for the way he talked about Memphis, from an optics point of view: "2 things can be true, violent crimes could be on the decline in Memphis and they can still rank very high when it comes to violent crime rate So in that regard we can't throw shade on LeBron until we take into account knowing that 63% of the people are black knowing that they need this team to fuel the economy as opposed to praising Nashville and saying why don't you just go there not thinking about the citizens at all I'm not even telling you LeBron James can't feel that way, I'm saying to say it so flippantly amongst a bunch of white dudes on a golf course knowing the cameras are rolling without any regard for what kind of effect it'll show on the black populist is problematic"
