When he came out, he gratuitously declared how happy he was to have voted “No”. I asked him why he had voted “No” and he said, “So that Aboriginal kids won’t get raped every night.” This is the racially stereotypical viewpoint that has comfortably settled into the minds of many in the broader community, largely engendered by the irresponsible narrative driven by Senator Jacinta Nampijinpa Price and her fellow traveller Nyunggai Warren Mundine. It is a viewpoint echoed in the words of comedian Rodney Marks who performed at the CPAC conference that Price attended in August: “I’d like to acknowledge the Traditional Owners: violent black men.”

Asked what he’ll now do for indigenous Australians Peter Dutton said that between now and the next election he’ll take advice from Jacinta Price and then formulate policies. One voice. One. Do you get the irony?

When the Referendum is over .. The trolls, the racists, the agitators, the bigots, the hard-right extremists.. and every non-Indigenous person who whined about the Voice being divisive.. ..will go back to their normal lives until they find something new to target while sucking on the misinformation straw with gusto. What won't go back to normal are the lives of First Nations people. Their lives have never been normal - they have been apart from 'the system', manipulated by 'the system' and they have been maligned by governments. Yes or No - Voice to Parliament referendum vote will affect them permanently. I hope for a positive outcome so that we can begin to heal lives and implement positive outcomes for First Nations people ❤️❤️ #VoteYesAustralia #VoteYes #VoteYes2023 #UluruStatement

*This post contains the name and photo of an Indigenous woman lost to violence. ❤️SHE MATTERS: REBECCA COLLARD!❤️ This is 48-year-old Rebecca Collard. On October 4, Rebecca was killed by a person driving a vehicle at Balcatta in WA. Yesterday, a 17-year-old male was charged with her murder. Rebecca is the 52nd Australian woman killed this year. It's alleged the male deliberately rammed the car into Rebecca and that he left the scene, leaving her unaided. RIP REBECCA COLLARD! ❤️ ❤️The Memorial to Women and Children Lost to Violence: t.co/UroVD68fcd ❤️The Australian Femicide & Child Death Map: t.co/RDVGgeLKBq I document ALL unlawful deaths of women and children, regardless of perpetrator gender or relationship between the person killed and the accused. This means not every death is due to domestic and family violence. Australians are also killed by strangers, friends, colleagues, neighbours and other people known to them. ❤️SHE MATTERS: LISE MULIAGA!❤️ This is Lise Muliaga. On September 18, Lise was stabbed to death at the home of a relative in Melton South, Victoria. Her husband is charged with her murder. Lise is the 45th woman killed this year. While Lise was killed more than three weeks ago, I can now name her following the expiry of a suppression order. Lise was mum to five children, all aged under 14. She and her family were visiting Australia from New Zealand. Lise worked to end stigma around mental health and addiction issues. @GehanKay I wholeheartedly endorse all you said here Kay. From the head, heart and soul. I was ready to vote YES from the time I became aware of stolen generations and stolen history. I am in my 70’s now, 5th generation white Australian and I was glad and proud to vote a resounding YES.

This Saturday - will we give Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples a seat at the table by voting Yes? Or will we leave them to pick up the crumbs that fall from that table. The Australian people must decide.

@BroHilderchump Maybe have a talk with the Anti Discrimination Commission to discuss her rights and any laws/legislation that are there to protect her rights as a worker (FWC) pretty sure the company has breached the National Employment Standards. She really doesn't have to put up with this 👍🏽
