@OmaeOkara This could have worked 10 years ago. Presently the security and state of economy cannot allow such. You will wake up and find nothing in the shop.
Dear future shop owners. Who bewitched you. Hii design ya frame 2; tu ndio mnataka? Lets have a conversation as a country. They look pathetic na hiyo design ndio iko copy pasted across East Africa. Infact Somalia ndio niliona some different creativity. Transitioning to a first world country requires collective efforts from the private and public sector.
@IEBCKenya@EEEthekon You have the worst job in this entire world. You take the money , you're doomed. You follow integrity to the end , you're still doomed. Choose your doomed.

This Safaricom result is tragic. Africans are brainwashed. No wonder we are a 3rd World. Kenyans are celebrating and congratulating Ndegwa and Safaricom. But this one of the causes of our Poverty.
Look at 2nd Column on the right. This is the Company result for Kenya. Group result includes Ethiopia.
So for Kenya:
Gross Revenue Shs 410 Billion.
Net Profit Shs 118 Billion??? This is 29% Net Margin.
Most Companies return 10%! And worse this merely for Service!!! If it was Industry, them at least some benefit to the Country.
Many London School Economists keep singing about Foreign Direct Investments. Do they really understand it? What have KBL, Safaricom, BAT added to Kenya in the decades they have been here??
Have their ex employees set up rival Companies??
Those companies in most Countries are Local Industries.
Most of these ' Employees' and Economists who marvel at millions will be proud not knowing we are exporting Wealth and Jobs.
They are trading in KShs and repatriating US$.
Probably Ndegwa, David Ndii, Julians Omboko are celebrating.
Deeper analysis is even more troubling.
Dividend is KES 2 per share
Earnings per share is KES 2.95
Net profit after tax 118b
Dividends are (2 divided by 2.95 ) or 67% dividends declared of profit after tax. They retain very little in the Company !!
67% of Net profit 118b = KES 80 billion is dividends.
I think Vodacom own 60% so they will get 60% x 80b = KES 48 Billion or GBP 280 million.
Now take their income of KES 410 billion.
Dividend to the UK - KES 48 billion
That percentage is 11.7%. This percentage of income that SF earns goes as dividends to the UK
Imagine you send money to someone and it costs KES 130 (assume 30 is excise, VAT etc) so SF net revenue is KES 100.
Out of that KES 100 a total of 11% of this amount is going to King Charles or KES 11.
We cannot be working so hard to plant Tea, etcvto generate FOREX to pay King Charles 11% Safaricom Revenues
Add the Billions at least 11B outsourced services eg paying rent to American Tower Company for using Towers.
Towers which were bought from Telkom Kenya for a song. Simple things that Kenyans should be doing.
That is at least another Shs 20B.
Then since Safaricom gets prepaid Airtime, which is like Advance Payment, they are so liquid they have never taken a Loan.
This liquidity is what is lent as Fuliza etc.
So Safaricom is mopping money from every village, slum etc
And yet Members of Parliament and other stooges can gloat that ' SAFARICOM IS A KENYAN COMPANY and should have a KENYAN identity when they have made a misadventure to Ethiopia ( Good for them).
The first column illustrates how Kenya is subsidizing that operation.
From a net Profit of Shs 118B, that Operation reduces that margin to Shs 73B.
Black Africans have to wake up and promote Local Industries like Mastermind Tobacco and Keroche Breweries.
Africans are just illiterate thinking they are very smart.
Colonialism of the Mind, Economy is still very much alive.
And they have ensured it continues with dangling of bait, hook, line and sinker something called 'Democracy, Capitalism and Freedom' !!
Is anyone else noticing this on @X? I’m suddenly hitting limits on how much I can comment or post in a day, & it kinda feels like free accounts are being pushed into just scrolling instead of participating. Not sure if it’s a test or a bug, but it’s pretty frustrating. @elonmusk

I am looking for a man named Ford who was running a car hire business in Nairobi. I rented him my car under an agreement that he would pay KSh 40,000 per month. He paid only for the first two months, then began giving excuses.
In May 2018, I asked for my car back. He told me it had been hired out and was in Uganda. Later, he claimed the car had been stolen. However, I later discovered that he had reported the car as stolen in April 2018 without informing me.
After that, he went silent, despite promising to pay for the car. I have recently obtained his photos and am appealing to anyone who may have information about his whereabouts. Please message me privately if you know anything.
He has since switched off both of his phone numbers, and at the time I was in Germany, which made it difficult for me to follow up.
Thank you

Kenya is one big CONFLICT OF INTEREST + POOR GOVERNANCE STUDY:
1. MCAs' companies do all the work in the Wards;
2. MPs' companies do all CDF work;
3. Governors' companies do all the work in the Counties;
4. The President and his CS companies do all the national contracts.
@lynn_ngugi1 We lost a big opportunity to tranform this nation in 2007. Presently, All the tools in this world are being used to program the masses from Media, to the internet. Tribalism lines, religion, class, Every mayhem you see is a creation of the political class to control you.Niko Kadi
What makes a population of over 50 Million people normalize dysfunction from a few politicians? Is it fear, conditioning, survival, or something else entirely?
Who actually understands this, psychologists, sociologists, historians, anyone?? Feel free to weigh in✌🏾
@Bossyator KRA and their international handlers are trying so hard to Americanize Kenya so bad. They want you to be at the mercy at the government of the day. The sad part is that all that money is squandered by politician running around doing nothing
Wadau you know KRA are saying no company based in Kenya will be allowed to operate without employees and that the employees must remit PAYE. But here is the most interesting part.
If you run your company as a sole shareholder and Director while you don't have any employees on record, they're saying you should indicate that the company has employed you and you set a salary that the company pays you which will be reflecting in your personal account every month.
From this salary you will then be required to be remitting PAYE before or on 9th of every month.
My question then, is it possible to employ yourself in your company that makes millions and give yourself a salary that's below the PAYE threshold/bracket?
Syllabus ya Taxman is running faster that late Kelvin Kiptum.
@DCI_Kenya Forgery is serious, but the key question is whether he can still do the job well.If he can, retrain on ethics & accountability instead of automatic dismissal. After all, even PHD graduates often deliver shitty results, pointing to deeper issues like weak accountability & corruption
FORGERY SUSPECT ARRESTED AT JKIA
In a dramatic turn of events that underscores the long arm of the law, a notorious suspect was apprehended at Jomo Kenyatta Internation Airport (JKIA) in connection with serious forgery offences, bringing to light a calculated scheme of deception that had gone undetected for years.
The man identified as Victor Ochieng Odhiambo, was intercepted by vigilant immigration officers at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) moments after arriving from South Korea aboard Etihad Airways flight EY 768. Acting on a prior stop order issued by the Officer in Charge of Immigration, authorities swiftly moved in, halting his entry and placing him under arrest.
Investigations reveal that Odhiambo is wanted for offences of forgery contrary to Section 345 as read with Section 349 of the Penal Code, as well as uttering a false document contrary to Section 353 of the Penal Code.
The charges stem from a calculated act of fraud allegedly committed at the Kenya Pipeline Company, where the suspect is said to have forged a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics degree certificate, serial number 296168, purportedly issued on 19th December 2008.
Detectives believe the falsified academic credentials were used to unlawfully secure employment as a Senior ICT Officer, a position of significant responsibility that demands high integrity and technical competence. The arrest raises serious concerns about credential verification processes and the lengths to which individuals may go to gain unlawful advantage.
Following his arrest, Odhiambo was detained at Muthaiga Police Station pending his arraignment.
Earlier today, he appeared for plea taking at Milimani law court court No.2 where he pleaded not guilty.
He was released on a cash bail of Ksh 300,000/=or an alternative bond of Ksh 500,000/= or a surety of similar amount. The case is scheduled for mention on 2/04/2026 for pretrial.
The DCI remains steadfast in its commitment to safeguarding public institutions and ensuring that justice is served.

You built a house in Kericho.
Months later, during the heavy rains, the client calls.
You assume they want to give you another project.
Instead they say:
"The house collapsed."
But you handed over the building more than a year ago.
So... are you still liable?
A thread 🧵
Why is Nigeria is still charging Kenyans ~$80 for a single entry visa even though Kenya is visa-free for all Nigerians (and all* Africans)?
Is it time to match their energy and reintroduce visas for them?
