@benz_pilled There's a very useful book entitled "Facts, Not Fear" (Sanera/Shaw) that addresses climate and environmental alarmism.
Crazy thing is it's copyright is 1999. 27 years, and just as relevant today as then. So to your point of acting like a religion - spot-on. 🎯

In case you're a normal American and don't have any clue how much 80 grams is like I did, it's about 3 ounces. Per WEEK. For reference, when I grill, my burgers are 4-6 ounces each.

That works out to 11.4 grams a day, which is less meat than most people put in a single taco. A Green party rep explained the logic: the elderly "have been the biggest climate sinners throughout their lives." So the plan is apparently to make them atone for it in their final years, one thimble of mince at a time. This is exactly right on, Gene.
It's actually kind of amazing sometimes how far they'll go, how much they'll pretzel their logic to bring it back to "M'climate change."
But it has become a de facto moral compass for many, many people. Still not quite sure how to break that wall down. Try telling someone that the IPCC is a political org and not a scientific org—they look at you like you have 4 heads.
As an aside, I have found that @SamaHoole tells this story well through his posts. Highly recommend.

Apparently, YouTube is using AI to demonetize and suspend accounts.
Rumble will do the complete opposite.
We are building in a new process where an actual human will reach out when their is a ban or demonetization issue.
Authentic, human support is a priority.

A couple years ago I joked non-jokingly the reason so many gov’t bureaucrats seem dumb & unmotivated is because they work for 8 hours in windowless rooms. And that I too would be dumb and unmotivated if I had to think for a living without air or a window.

The @Wikipedia entry "COVID-19 lab leak theory" uses the term "conspiracy theory" around 20 times. (42 if you count sourcing.)
~50% of the entry is written by just 4 anonymous editors. One of them is a known far-left adversarial editor (TarnishedPath).
The most politically consequential scientific theory of our lifetimes is being discredited as a conspiracy theory by four unknown actors.
This determines not mere "history" but what AI systems consider to be ground truth.
Even more importantly, it's shaping the worldview of AI models that train on its data.
