@karimfranceschi So was the kuomintang, yet the communists still saw it necessary to unite with them to resist the Japanese imperialists. It's not choosing Iran as a side but tactically focusing on the same enemy at this moment.

The IRGC is a parasitic extraction machine performing "resistance" as a branding exercise while crushing any genuine organic autonomy. The "billionaire in the turban" isn’t a protector against Western "apocalypse," but as a primary agent actively terraforming the region into an unlivable wasteland.

Oil infrastructure in flames, toxic fallout, and acidified water: this is how the "Democratic West" externalizes the cost of war onto the very people they claim to "liberate." The destruction of urban ecosystems isn't a byproduct of war, it is a strategic objective designed to transform living cities into contaminated ruins. But we must refuse the false binary. While the "Campist" left defends the Iranian regime as a bulwark against imperialism, the Iranian working class knows better. The Haft Tappeh Sugarcane Workers and the Oil Contract Workers, whose strikes were suppressed in blood, didn't take the streets for US intervention. They demanded an end to "privatization" and the IRGC’s mafia-style stranglehold on the economy. This is "theocratic neoliberalism." A ruling elite that lives in luxury while workers face 50%+ inflation and "subsistence-level" wages. Sanctions exacerbated the pain, but the rot is systemic. Instead of reform, the regime retreated into the "External Enemy" narrative to mask its own kleptocracy, the same tactic used after 1979 to purge the Kurdish and Leftist revolutionaries who dreamed of a secular, progressive Iran. Supporting the regime isn't "anti-imperialist." It’s supporting a specific brand of billionaire exploiter who happens to wear a turban instead of a tie. True internationalism means standing with the workers against both the bombs of the West and the gallows of the Theocracy.

With the collapse of Assad's defense lines in #Aleppo and #Hama, many journalists in the Global North were overtaken by excitement, overlooking who is filling the void - or deliberately trivializing it. But who is #HTS, the jihadist militia that humiliated Assad? 🧵1/26

The Syrian Government soldiers who have abducted these 2 woman and their children are also members of ISIS. They fought in the battle for Tal Hamis, between Syria and Iraq. We have repeatedly stated that members of ISIS have been integrated into the ranks of Jolanis Hayat Tahrir al Sham and the Turkish led SNA - both military factions now form the new Syrian Government; with the core group being the same group: ISIS.

Syrian Government Forces abduct Druze woman and children from Suweida - this soldier of the Syrian Government who is participating in the ongoing attack against Suweida, posing with a car that depicts the practice of cutting the beards off of a Druze man to desecrate him and his religion, has filmed himself transporting woman and children out of. He claims that he is *rescuing these woman from Hijris militias* - but the expression on their faces reveal the bitter truth. The woman do not comment on the statement made by the Syrian Government Soldier that they were rescued from the Druze resistance forces - with an armed Jihadi having your child in his lap while you’re sitting in the back of a Syrian MOI vehicle - under the threat of violence, no one would refute that statement. The blood on the woman and on the child’s clothes is clearly fresh - Syrian Government Forces were not able to seize any new territory - when they weren’t able to enter territory controlled by the Druze resistance forces, how could they possibly liberate woman from the captivity of the Druze resistance?. Furthermore: the native Bedouin population in Suweida has left according to the reports and statements of the Syrian Media and the Syrian Government.

The famine has reached level 5 in Sudan. It’s catastrophic to say the least. Worst famine in 40 years worldwide. But it’s barely making it into a single headline. I’m so fucking sick and tired of the world’s selective empathy and activism. You’d give a damn-

An upsetting personal story about how the sectarian hate exploding across Syria is manifesting in other places. My family is from a Lebanese Druze village. One of my relatives has employed a Syrian man for 10 years to take care of his house. They knew this man so well they felt he was practically part of the family. Until the attacks in Syria’s Sweida region. The man was posting celebratory sectarian statements on Facebook about the murder of the Druze in Sweida. My relative confronted him asking why he would say such things. After all, we are Druze and you know us well and live with us. The man stood by his bigoted statements and was ultimately fired. After he packed his bags, as he was leaving, he told my relative: You’ll see me again. After Sweida we’re coming for you. Everyone is shocked. Sad, scary, shameful, all the things.
