There are two versions of the next ten years. In one, the old system limps along — energy prices spike every time a bomb drops somewhere, inflation eats your savings while insiders buy hard assets with printed money, AI eliminates millions of jobs and the displaced get nothing, the surveillance apparatus expands every time there's a crisis, and both parties keep trading the White House back and forth while nothing fundamental changes. Your kids inherit a country that's slightly worse every year and nobody can explain why.
In the other version, energy costs go to zero and every price in the economy drops with it. Your data generates passive income that grows every year as AI scales. The government is lean, transparent, and rebuilt with technology that makes corruption structurally impossible. The wars end because the petrodollar that required them is gone. Your kids inherit a country so prosperous and free that they study the current era the way we study the Dark Ages — with disbelief that people lived this way.
Both timelines are real. Both are possible. The only variable is whether enough people organize fast enough to build the second one before the first one locks in. That's the race. And we're going to win it.
