Fellow Nigerians, good morning. I woke up this morning after my church service with a deeply reflective heart, and despite every constraint, I felt compelled to share these thoughts with you. Many people do not truly understand the silent pains some of us carry daily—the private struggles, emotional burdens, and quiet battles we face while trying to survive and serve sincerely in difficult circumstances. We now live in an environment that has become increasingly toxic, where the very system that should protect and create opportunities for decent living often works against the people—a society where intimidation, insecurity, endless scrutiny, and discouragement have become normal. More painful is when some of those you associate with, believing you would find understanding and solidarity among them, become part of the pressure you face. Some who publicly identify with you privately distance themselves or join in unfair criticism. We live in a society where humility is mistaken for weakness, respect is seen as a lack of courage, and compassion is treated as foolishness—a system where treating people equally is questioned simply because you refuse to worship status, tribe, class, or power. Personally, I have never looked down on anyone except to uplift them. I have never used privilege, position, or resources to oppress others, intimidate the weak, or make people feel small. To me, leadership has always been about service, sacrifice, and helping others rise. Let me state clearly: my decision to leave the ADC is not because our highly respected Chairman, Senator David Mark, treated me badly, nor because my leader and elder brother, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, or any other respected leaders did anything personally wrong to me. I will continue to respect them. However, the same Nigerian state and its agents that created unnecessary crises and hostility within the Labour Party that forced me to leave now appear to be finding their way into the ADC, with endless court cases, internal battles, suspicion, and division, instead of focusing on deeper national problems and playing politics built more on control and exclusion than on service and nation-building. Even within spaces where one labours sincerely, one is sometimes treated like an outsider in one’s own home. You and your team become easy targets for every failure, frustration, or misunderstanding, as though honest contribution has become a favour being tolerated rather than appreciated. And when you choose to leave so that those you are leaving can have peace, and you step out into the cold, you are still maligned and your character is questioned. Despite all your efforts to continue working for a better Nigeria and engaging people with sincerity and goodwill, those who do not wish you well continue to attack your character and question your intentions. There are moments I ask God in prayer: Why is doing the right thing often misconstrued as wrongdoing in our country? Why is integrity not valued? Why is the prudent management of resources, especially when invested in critical areas like education and healthcare, wrongly labelled as stinginess? Why are humility and obedience to the rule of law often taken to be weakness rather than discipline? Let me assure all that I am not desperate to be President, Vice President, or Senate President. I am desperate to see a society that can console a mother whose child has been kidnapped or killed while going to school or work. I am desperate to see a Nigeria where people will not live in IDP camps but in their homes. I am desperate for a country where Nigerian citizens do not go to bed hungry, not knowing where their next meal will come from. Yet, despite everything, I remain resolute. I firmly believe that Nigeria can still become a country with competent leadership based on justice, compassion, and equal opportunity for all. A new Nigeria is POssible. -PO

🇵🇹🏆 Congrats to Super Eagles duo of Zaidu Sanusi and Terem Moffi on winning the Primeira Liga with FC Porto after securing a 1-0 win over FC Alverca. It’s Zaidu Sanusi’s second League Title with the Club and the First for Terem Moffi who is on loan from Nice. (He was violently attacked by the Nice fans and has now won the League with Porto meanwhile Nice are fighting to avoid relegation). FC Porto Goalkeeper and Captain, Diogo Costa honored the Late Diogo Jota by wearing a special Jersey with DIOGO J. and number 19, remembering Jota’s time at the club in 2016/17. Under Coach Farioli, they conceded just 15 goals this season. It’s the 31st League Title in the club’s history, putting an end to a 4-year wait since being champions in the 2021/22 season. #fcporto #supereagles #zaidusanusi #teremmoffi

‼️🎙John Terry wants Clearlake Capital to hire Thomas Tuchel after the world cup. 🗣"Listen, I've been around this club my whole life as a player, captain, and someone who bleeds blue. I'm telling Clearlake Capital straight: after this World Cup, go and get Thomas Tuchel back. No messing about, just bring the man home. Tuchel knows Chelsea, he loves the club, and he's a winner. He delivered the Champions League and understood exactly what this badge means. He’ll walk into the dressing room and get the absolute best out of every player – young or experienced because he demands standards and intensity. Clearlake, you’ve got the resources and the project, now get the right man. Experience, passion, and a proven winner. Bring Tuchel back and let’s get this club where it belongs. Back at the top. Simple as that." (Fiction)

I had to double check this account to ascertain if it was the real Fabrizio. Anyway, Pep Guardiola has seriously called Kompany and Luis Enrique shit managers. That's why he didn't dare to watch their game 🤔
Fabrizio Romano@FabrizioRomano

😁 Pep Guardiola explains why he was in attendance at Stockport-Port Vale on same night as PSG-Bayern. “I saw the calendar, PSG-Bayern, I said what a disaster game, sh*t managers, bad players…”. 😂 “I love English football and I went to Stockport!”. @BeanymanSports 🎥

Funny way to realize he follows me too 😂

Hello, @ebehdad. You follow me, so I figured this was worth a go. No harm intended. I’m happy to hear that you’re wanting to get the fanbase back on your side with this next appointment. It’s widely considered that Xabi Alonso is the best Manager on the market. For me, this isn’t even the biggest piece of evidence for why we should hire him. His style of play mirrors what the modern game looks like. As a Manager, and ESPECIALLY as a player, all he’s done is win. One win away from an invincible Treble winning season with Leverkusen, where he ended Bayern’s 11 year Bundesliga reign. World Cup winner as a player. 2x Champions League winner as a player. As soon as he steps foot in Cobham, he has the respect from the entire dressing room. This is the EXACT pedigree, experience, and Manager we’re looking for. Hiring Xabi guarantees a successful and FUN future. In 2024, Fabrizio published a report, saying we were wanting to create a “Xabi Alonso like Project.” We’re looking for a Manager and he’s looking for a job. He’s RIGHT there. Please, do the right thing. This will make Supporters believe again. Sincerely, All Chelsea fans

“During your first four years in office, you did nothing, and now you want Nigerians to vote for you again for a second term? Don’t vote for them. Performance is the best form of campaign. You achieved nothing, and that is why you are busy destroying opposition parties. Nigerians are really suffering. We are not asking for too much, all we need are basic amenities, affordable food items, security, and steady electricity. Thousands of people are leaving for abroad, not because they want too much wealth, but because they want safety.” —Apostle Johnson Suleman speaks on Nigeria’s current situation and leadership.

@karisportshq Exactly! A good coach would identify and play Neto to his strengths. Pedro Neto is more of a direct winger you wouldn't expect him to beat his man every time. Na why club like Newcastle go fit am. 😒
