I remember a day I bought two tubers of yams only to get home and find out they are like this. I started praying there is a specie of yam called chocolate yam because I had already made sauce and I was damn hungry. Had to throw everything away and then boiled rice.

Marriage is a union that involves two or more individuals so therefore there is bound to be friction as it commences. These are the things I believe intending couples should talk about before getting married: 1. Money and Finances: how will you handle spending, savings etc? Joint or separate accounts. 2. Children and parenting: Do you both intend to have kids and how many? What discipline and education approach do you both intend to use in raising your kids? 3. Family boundaries: how involved will extended families be? Do you both like having family members around ? Answer the questions so you can set your boundaries early. 4. Expectations vs Reality: In as much as marriage is viewed as a haven of utopia. It is not exactly a bed of roses. Both of you need to describe what "happy marriage" looks like to each of you so that you don't enter with different definitions and expectations. 6. Intimacy and affection: This is a topic most intending couples avoid but it is one of the leading causes of divorce in the world. Discuss emotional needs and expectations around sex. Sex is a cog in the wheel in marriage and many intending couples shy away from the topic forgetting that it is building block of most successful marriages. Sex was created for procreation and companionship which is the two main reasons why people get married. In the end, Love is great but clarity is better.

@kenkenlewu Weight gain comes from consuming more calories than your body burns. So even with frequent exposure, semen won’t contribute to fat gain in any meaningful way.

Spèrm has extremely low calories, so it can’t cause weight gain. Gaining weight is usually linked to things like your diet, hormones, lifestyle, or certain medical conditions, not sèx or sèmen. Sometimes people connect sèx with weight changes because being in a relationship can affect eating habits, hormones (like from birth control or pregnancy) can play a role, and lifestyle changes, like being less active or eating more comfort food can also contribute. But on its own, spèrm has no effect on body weight.

First off, weight gain comes from consuming more calories than your body can burn. Semen contains a very tiny amount of calories (roughly 5–7 calories per ejaculation) which is far too small to have any effect on body weight.

Actually my elder brother and his wife dated for 13 years. The wedding ceremony was just formality cos in their minds, they got wedded a long time ago. Today, they are not just a couple but best friends, like TWINS. One knows the other inside out and the relationship is enviable. It is not the wedding ceremony and society’s standards that matter. It is the bond between the two individuals coming together. It is not how long a relationship goes on without a wedding ceremony. It is the quality of the relationship between the two people. And no matter how close we are to our siblings, no matter how much we love them, we cannot make decisions for them as long as they are adults. We all came to this earth alone and will leave alone. All we can do is make good use of the voluntary relationships we build amongst us while we still have time.

Before someone starts using something to control you they already know it is probably something you can't do without and somewhere in their head they know you don't have options. Stop begging her that's the only way to break out of her chains and inform her that workers are liable to go on strike as well. Two can play the game.

If I ever find myself in this kind of situation, the first thing I would do is talk to her about it and find out if something is wrong, whether it is hygiene-related or if she is going through any emotional or physiological issues. After doing this, if she still continues to deny me sex, I will stop initiating it and embark on a full cheating spree. Three baddies per week.

Yes It’s my community, and it’s our family compound. I appreciate the person that went and made this video because it has really shown the high level of integrity. And for the records, a home is a place you make comfortable for yourself. So charity begins at home doesn’t mean i should use the NGO money and go and renovate My grand father’s compound. I’m comfortable where I’m, and here is my home. When i make my own money i can build my house but not NGO’s money”. The right people to drag is Mr. VINCENT OTSE, my Dad and not me. He’s still very much alive, Same with his brothers (my uncles) and my other cousins. So why dragging me? Verydarkman reacts to a trending video circulating in the media showing his family’s compound.

@kenkenlewu Nigerian banks need to step up their game. Too often, customers lose funds to fraud and the bank is slow to act. We need stronger security, faster reversals and real accountability. Our funds deserves to be in safe hands.

It often feels like Nigerian banks leave customers more exposed in ways banks in places like the UK simply wouldn’t. The difference isn’t just about technology, it’s about the entire banking ecosystem. In the UK, banks are required by regulators to treat fraud prevention and customer protection as non-negotiable. That’s why a bank like Lloyds might freeze your account when something unusual is detected. The goal is to protect your money first. Similarly, when Barclays refunds unauthorized charges, it reflects a system where accountability is built in and enforced. In Nigeria, however, customer protections tend to be weaker. Enforcement isn’t as strict, fraud detection systems are less advanced, and customers often lack strong channels to challenge banks when issues arise. As a result, banks may prioritize speed and convenience over security, creating gaps that fraudsters can exploit. The irony is that Nigerian banks have the capacity to implement stronger safeguards. But until regulation, accountability, and customer trust are treated as core priorities, the system will continue to fall short. It’s not that Nigerian banks don’t know how to protect customers, it’s that the environment doesn’t compel them to make it a priority. That’s the real difference.
folowosele adeboye@boye4christ2006

Why can’t Nigerian banks protect their customers’ money? The other day, one of my mutuals was calling out GTBank over a huge amount that was stolen from her account. This kind of thing should not be happening. When I moved to the UK some years ago, my sister gave me her credit card to use for about three months so I could settle in. After that period, I wanted to refund her £2,500. As I was about to make the transfer, Lloyds Bank suddenly blocked access to my account. I was really annoyed. I felt, “It’s my money, why can’t I send it?” So I called them, and they asked me when I last spoke to my sister and whether I was sure I wasn’t dealing with fraudsters. I was still frustrated at the time, but they eventually restored access and allowed me to complete the transfer. Looking back, I realised they were simply trying to protect me. Why can’t Nigerian banks protect their customers like this? In the UK, even if you mistakenly transfer money to the wrong account, banks will actively try to help you recover it. I experienced this with Barclays. I was receiving debit alerts every month from a website I didn’t recognise, and £120 had been deducted over three months. I reported it, and Barclays refunded all the money within a week. Why can’t Nigerian banks operate with this same level of accountability and customer protection? It’s frustrating that basic systems meant to protect people still don’t work effectively in Nigeria.

N1k. Although I often pay more than that because he is undercharging. This reminds me of something. My Barber has been cutting my hair for 15 years (excluding the years I was abroad). Last December, I went to cut my hair and I was told he travelled to the village. I don't like changing barber but I had no choice. I dey vex but I went to another place closer to my house and he charged me N10k. My Barber returned in January and I told him he travelled early because I couldn't find him when I came. He said he lost his mom so he went to bury her. I didn't even know what to say. When he was done, I sent him N50k because I know he had spent a lot.

@Generalogist @Prezain_LJ The reason for the wanton arrests is not far-fetched. Nigerian Police is both corrupt and incompetent. For instance, you can be arrested for demanding your pay for a job you did for someone who has some connection and money. That's the reality of the country we live in.

I’m genuinely curious, why is he in custody? Shouldn’t he just be dismissed from his job? Two adults had consensual sex and the lady decided to have an abortion and died from it, so why is the man being arrested for it? I once heard of a case like this in Owerri in 2021. Did the LGI coerce her to take the abortion drugs, or are there chats showing threats from him to make her get rid of the baby? Does this mean that if you get a woman pregnant and she decides to have an abortion and dies in the process, you would be arrested for it? Lawyers in the house, what crime exactly would the man be charged with?

my former LGI go fvck corper, that one get belle go use pills. she died as a result of it and now baba dey custody
