Socks can be a lot to navigate when you’re Autistic. For me to feel comfortable wearing them, I have to make sure they’re positioned perfectly, have no areas where they’re out of shape, there’s a lack of material or even the smallest hole. And if they get even slightly wet… ugh!

Therapists who criminalize self diagnosis 🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩 Listen. Access to mental health is a HUGE problem. And gatekeeping is not the answer.

Autistic people are so often ridiculed, bullied and made fun of for things like not understanding jokes, misinterpreting social cues and finding social situations difficult. It’s no wonder we develop social anxiety. We are traumatised from growing up autistic.
