If people still haven’t understood Diljit Dosanjh after so many years, they probably never will. He seems to act mainly for his own benefit, showing pride in the country when it helps him, and stepping away from it when trying to please certain audiences abroad. But not once did he actually mention India. Not even in passing. If you are celebraty and appearing on a massive global platform, you would introduce yourself with your country and not only the state. Is this just strong regional pride or a very calculated branding move where "Punjab" is the identity he wants to push internationally? I have seen, it's becoming a pattern across his interviews.
