MPs Anna Adeke (Soroti DWR) & Jonathan Odur (Erute South) engaged in an exchange on whether the mouth & anus should be enacted as body organs where sexual violence can be committed. Odur argued that inclusion of the anus would create a window for Uganda to legalize homosexuality & proposed to maintain the status quo of the penis & vagina as the only permissible sexual organs. This was during the scrutiny of The Sexual Offences Bill 2024 before the Joint Committee of Legal & Gender yesterday. Below is the transcription of how the exchange ensued;

In December of 2023, I visited Hon. Byamukama’s home, to see the progress of his 4 acre farm and I advised the locals there to emulate him because he listened to our advice and was earning over 50m per month. He had started with a few enterprises at the time. Today, I was happy to see that he has grown and diversified those enterprises.
