To celebrate GIS day this year, take a look at our teaching resource that uses GIS in an activity. We also have an article on GA Blog by former GA President, Denise Freeman, called Advocating for GIS in Schools. Find both of them with the buttons below. There are also GIS lessons in most of the KS3 geography units that the GA have created for Oak National Academy. You can find the teaching resource here: the-ga.org/49dW8Wt The GA Blog article here: the-ga.org/3JZ6wqG Access the Oak lessons here: the-ga.org/49CmLET

@GeoCurriculum Any tips and tricks?! I just find the lack of clarity in the spec mind-blowing, the repetition is ridiculous & the question style of AQA is another level of difficulty compared to Edexcel 😭

Been teaching 10 years and honestly, I think teaching AQA A-Level Changing Places for the 1st time is the hardest thing I've done in that time. Who on earth chooses this spec out of choice?! Enough to be a deal-breaker when next moving schools, I tell ya🤯😵‍💫😫

@kate_stockings I taught our local area as our local place and then also used this for the local area health example in population and environment. Both also good topics for NEA.

Does anyone know if Geography Review still do their free online resources & downloads? If so, do you have a link please? Just looked to find some bits & no luck!

Have long struggled with the difference between regeneration, re-imaging & rebranding when teaching Regenerating Places & so I was so glad to come across this slide by David Redfern in the free online resources from @HL_Magazines Geography Review. Straight into my resources!👩‍💻
