During OS Innovation Festival, we asked the Map Men to share their top tip for anyone getting into map reading. Knowing the difference between map scales is a fundamental navigation skill. It helps you interpret the level of detail and choose the right map for your activity. 🗺️

✔️ Schools out in Leicestershire ✔️ Ofsted survived ✔️ Still standing (just) Signing off...ish. There's just the small matter of SATs results to sort over the summer. 👀 Until then, this tired, slightly sweaty🥵😅 headteacher will be attempting to recharge. Happy summer☀️

Give my team @Inner_Drive 25 hours to work with your team on: - Working memory - Retrieval practice - Spacing - Interleaving - Cold Calling - Wait Times - Clear Explanations - Feedback - Attention - Question Difficulty …and it will be some of the best CPD you will ever have 🧠

Here's the question I think we should be asking about school improvement right now: What would be the impact on student achievement of giving every teacher 25 hours of professional learning on the science of learning? Without this, leaders cannot prioritize improvement efforts.

It's one of our favourite times of year - National Map Reading Week! 🗺️ For this #MapMonday, how many map symbols can you see and name? And bonus points if you can tell us where we are! 👇

A really valuable afternoon at the Royal Society, discussing mathematical and data education with representatives from different subject areas and members of the Advisory Committee on Mathematics Education. Lots of rich discussion about how MDE is taught across the curriculum, and plenty to reflect on over the next few days. @royalsociety #ACME #geography

I used to use this a lot you can also make cameo fill the screen so if you want to be using the visualiser most of the time but also like in geography want to have some images cued up as well you can. You can also hyperlinks between the slides so you can quickly go back to the slide that in effect is acting as the visualiser :)
