On 17th Feb 2026 at 6am my friend Alex Belfield was set to arrive at my home so we could travel together to support Rupert Lowe in court in London. Alex had written permission from his probation officer. Just after 5am that morning Alex sent me this video.He was returned to jail.

Quite a comedic visit to the electoral office in Hamilton to submit some paperwork as part of my nomination for Rutherglen and Cambuslang. Big thanks to the staff for their professionalism and help, they make the process straightforward, even when some forms require “Glasgow” to be written in odd places! Nice of them to put the flags out for me too. Every step brings me closer to getting out and speaking to residents across the constituency, and I’m looking forward to the next few weeks of listening and learning.
