Yesterday a 14 year old was arrested for plotting to attack 2 mosques in London. On the weekend, 12 people were arrested in connection with an alleged terror plot against thousands of Muslims in Suffolk at a prayer gathering. Far-right extremism is out of control in the UK.

Sir Keir Starmer left our country in a better place than when he found it. His record is lifting 500,000 children out of poverty, reducing NHS waiting times by 400,000, introducing the Hillsborough Law, improving the rights of millions of workers and private renters, and leadership on the world stage, including on support for Ukraine. History will look kindly on his record in office, and I thank him for his service.

🚨 It’s remarkable that Britain now recognises steel as a strategic national asset but still treats food as though the global market will always provide. This is becoming a consistent theme across government: Steel is strategic. Energy is strategic. Defence is strategic. Semiconductors are strategic. The missing piece is food. Food security is national security. If govt intervenes to protect steel production, why not the industry that feeds 70 million people?

We do need to get more young people into work, education or training - no question. But as with every other problem, the right wing are blaming migrants. Recently they're claiming that 27 young, non-EU migrants are getting hired for every young Brit. Here's why its not true
